I think it was the first movie I "studied" while watching it.

I wouldn't go that far for myself, but even as a 9-10 year old I did take issue with him being a fairly immobile guy in an armored suit, who was blocking swords with his armored gauntlets. I thought back then Batman should be athletic and able to, y'know, move his head and body around quickly. I was so happy when Batman: the Animated Series came out and fixed everything that bothered me about the movies.

Same. Not a fan of the long eared version, of the BD EX.

I agree. Short ears are great.

89's my favorite live-action Batman movie. I think it still holds up quite well today.

i must admit im liking that BD head a lot. it would make for a cool 1970's batman vs ras al ghul display. you know the one with a shirtless batman and a sabre.....

They failed.

None of them are accurate to the sources. The sources aren't even accurate to the sources.

That's common to most legends. Nobody knows the truth (is there even one?). Everybody tell their own version of the story.

That's totally in line with the Batman. The giant immortal flying blood-drinking bat, some say.

The thing that bothers me is that only the head is damaged. All the rest is clean. Doesn't work for me...

I understand DiFabio's satirical hyperbole.

None of the various versions are definitive, simply becasue time moves on.

And so by association, all of the various versions are definitive, simply because that is how the director/production team had chosen to define them at that precise moment in time. But in reality, they are more a definitive capturing of the thoughts and wants of film making individuals at that moment, including all the things that influenced the team.

They are all definitive, snapshot moments of what was happening at the time, conglomerated, visualised and materialised in the form of BATMAN.

And one way or another...even down to the rubber nipples...they all are valid as they all add something to the mythos.

It does look so but I think it's merely a matter of the belt sitting too low and maybe the neck being too long (resulting in a long torso).

Hmm.

I think the belt could stand to be a bit higher. It might fix the proportions, plus it would hide the skinny waist. If not, then I'd say his legs are too short.

I've tried to raise the belt but nothing does.

I bet it would be less obvious in action poses, unless the problem is the neck. If you cover him from the cowl up, the body looks better.

It's a movie. Can't have a guy with no superpowers running around like a power ranger wearing spandex and fighting criminals with guns/weapons. It's tough enough to sell the idea that this guy fights crime all night long by himself in a large city like Gotham...he looks so tiny standing on top of those buildings If only they could find a material that looks strong and it allows the actor to be more flexible.

He just needs to get that stuff that Blankman sprayed on his costume and BAM! (Pun intended) Batman is crime fighting comfortably while safe from bullets!

This figure is too blocky, chunky and disproportionate. It is not a good BATMAN figure. Plus the face is horrible, it's terrifying and he looks like something out of a nightmare.

After reconsideration...definitely not for me. I'm out.
