Okay guys, here's an update on the Iron Man LSF which i recieved on Wednesday. So as the title explains...there is good news, there is bad news and then there is more good news.
So basically the good news was that once i had unboxed everything i was happy to see that the break of the arm was clean and therefore fixable...what i wasnt expecting to see was the legs both snapped off!!!
Infact, what stopped me from crying was the thought of me already owning one of these LSF's already but it was still upsetting to see.
So the right leg had completely snapped of at the knee which was the most worrying as my initial thoughts were that this leg would be the hardest to repair. The Left leg had been snapped from the top joint at the hip and was hanging by the wires that works the light up feature. This would be an easy fix but whether the light up features still work would be anyones guess!
So as you would expect, i explained the situation to the seller and to be honest, i couldnt really blame him for what had happened. The statue was well packaged in both the Sideshow shipping boxes plus the broken legs/arms were very common problems when this piece was first shipped out. What i wasnt expecting was what followed...more good news!
After viewing the pictures which i had sent the seller of all the damage incurred to the statue he decided that due to the weight and size of the item that it would not be logical to return such a damaged piece back to him and wished me luck on repairing him and then refunded me for the entire amount! 
I was pleasantly surprised at this news especially with the progress i have made so far!
There is still a long way to go but since Wednesday i have managed to re-attach both broken legs and the broken arm and am now at the point of sanding down those specific areas, polyfilled the gaps and ready for primering. I would say at this point i am 70% confident of bringing this piece back to life although the hardest part will be trying to get a paint match on the red and gold colours...

is that a Maybang Display Case which has the joker inside?
The break line on the right leg is slightly visible from the distance i took the pics from as i had to make sure that the broken part of the leg was attached at just the right position to prevent more work later down the line...
a wrong colour could ruin the whole look! Even though i have paid nothing for this LSF i still would be devastated if i cant get this back to looking 100% despite the LEDs in the eyes not working...i can kinda' over look that.
The packaging was very good and supported by strong pieces of styrofoam. Maybe this LSF could have been made in separate parts to avoid damage...eg) the body, legs and helmet to be all separate and assemble together maybe? 
, which is better than none of the lights working.
I wish pal...still a way to go im afraid...but i am impressed at how i got the right leg re-attached! This LSF is a weighty son of a ****** so i really feared the worse when seeing the damage of the leg being right in the centre above his knee. The left leg was a much easier fix...
