Tom, the life size busts have some ES's in the 300's and dealers get those. I'd be surprised if this had an ES any higher than 500.

Maul bust was 600.00 and still had an es of 1000. There's not a snowball's chance in hell this will be 500. 750-1000 and my money is on 1000. The more there are, the cheaper they'll be had for on ebay and from dealers. I think that's a good thing.

Just awesome!

Awesome pics. This convinced me that I need to make room and sell off some pieces to afford the Flex Pay.

My money is on 1000 pieces, myself.

I'll preorder one but I think i'll actually drop the order later on and get one off the 2ndary market for cheaper. I dont see this being any different than the other SW PFs that can be found for less than their retail price.

That's kind of what I am thinking too. Since there is no exclusive then I'll save $75-$100 from one of our retailers if I can.

Materials used:

The Premium Format 1:4 Scale Speeder Bike and Scout Trooper figure is akin to the stop motion maquettes used in the making of the famous chase sequence in Return of the Jedi. Every detail of the speeder bike and scout trooper has been accurately recreated in 1:4 scale, utilizing a mixture of materials to capture the proper look and feel. The bike is cast in heavy-weight polystone and white metal, and is mounted on a sturdy support rod. The body of the biker scout is cast in high-density foam, and incorporates several points of articulation so that you may adjust the pose and attitude of the trooper's head and arm. The trooper is costumed in a real fabric body glove, then finished with polystone and metal armor elements. The display base is cast in heavy-weight polystone, and finished on the base bottom with individual hand numbering.

So we have polystone and metal armor on a foam body. Fair compromise?

Fine by me, but I'm certain we're about to get a flood of "$800 for a Nerf Scout Trooper? No Way!" type posts.

I much prefer high density foam to ABS body. I know some high density foam "furniture" lasts forever. I just hope it is that kind of industrial grade foam. I hope they will make it to the 1/4 scale, even if it means 6 more inches. I ordered it because of the compromise and hopefully they will rescale the prototype. One thing I would have liked was a taller rod so I can put it on the floor. It's a waste of table space.

The Star Wars Premium Format Figures Speeder Bike and Scout Trooper

Here is mine. I am looking to sell, does anyone know what it is worth?

Re: The Star Wars Premium Format Figures Speeder Bike and Scout Trooper

Yikes... $1 more than I paid 6 or 7 years ago?

Re: The Star Wars Premium Format Figures Speeder Bike and Scout Trooper

I have purchased 2 of these, one locally and one off ebay. I paid less than $800 each for mine. This was a couple of years ago though.

Re: The Star Wars Premium Format Figures Speeder Bike and Scout Trooper

They made too many of these, so it hasn't really appreciated in value. In fact, it may have gone down a bit.

1500 I think.
