Bill was Octopus food....JK...I think...It would ve been cool if the Watcher took the ring from Frodo and stuck it on a tentacle...Sauron and Saruman afterwards wouldve brought some nets/spears and fishing rods as fast as they could before Galadriam/Rohan and Gondor brought their fishing equipment...It wouldve been like a Bass masters tournament in middle earth

Anything is possible, but I certainly wouldn't hold my breath as they stated on Twitter and FB that nothing from Middle Earth would make it to Comic-Con for fear "that we would miss it with all the other announcements being made".

They have in the past had items that did not get previews for a while after comic-con. So they may not solicit anything for sale during the event but there may be new stuff we won't see something "official" on until after according to what SS has mentioned.

Still waiting on Malgus an Shaak Ti from last year's comic-con. If they don't show anything this year hopefully they are further along in the productions process so we see product before the final film comes out.

My original intention was just to argue the point that Ged made...when he said that LOTR is not a big seller for SS...

and I merely pointed out that LOTR WOULD be a big seller for them IF they put out what the fans wanted. FACT.

Anyway,glad to see we've moved on!!

I hold out no hopes for SDCC,for ANYTHING Middle-Earth-related from SS...this company have made it very clear that these movies are apparently not very important to them...it makes me sick personally,but that's the way it is.

I would like to be as optimistic, but I have not much faith.

It is clear that Sideshow has covered itself in glory this time, so I read and see there are many collectors of LOTR Sideshow angry and I understand.

I hold out no hopes for SDCC,for ANYTHING Middle-Earth-related from SS...this company have made it very clear that these movies are apparently not very important to them...it makes me sick personally,but that's the way it is.

It is necessary that the LOTR license obtains a company that is committed to this license, do not deserve this treatment The Lord of the Rings, the company holding the license of LOTR is then necessary to be communicative and also listen to their customers and that not in complete silence, so there would be no doubt among collectors.

And this is possible because Weta has shown, is very communicative with customers and listening, which is appreciated.

It is a bit disappointing as it looks we ME fans won't be getting anything from SS this CC (but I'm still hoping for a surprise). But personally (and this is just me) I'm still gonna be okay. We still have Weta and they are keen to fulfill fans' requests. Don't get me wrong, how I love for SS to complete the Fellowship, be it in PF or maquette line, have the Fellowship in their definitive Fellowship garb - and I have so far all the maquettes released, but with the announcements, apparently this time around they have put priority on other licences. We just got a treat from the DRoM PF and Sauron PF coming up which is gonna be awesome. If we don't get anything from them at SDCC, I'd still live. We still have Weta, Asmus, ACI, GG, UC and others who can cater to all sorts of lines that a ME fan would be interested in. Actually, personally I'm glad I'm not a huge SW or Marvel or DC fan, otherwise I'll go nuts and my wallet too from all the goodies that I will get . But I'm happy for these fans who are getting their wishes!
