Some people are trying to say its down to the PERS.

I can find about a hundred and one things wrong with this without even getting to the sculpt.

Yes the sunken eyes and the stupid pink guy liner are bad, but so is the rest of the damn thing.

Those saying they see more of a resemblance to Mark now than in the prototypes just need their eyes testing!

As I said before, IF this is the final product, mine will be going back. I suggest everyone here do the same because if this the qualty that Hot Toys is going to put out for 300.00, then they need to be taught a lesson.

Brilliantly said and I could not agree more, only it probably won't happen, sadly!

Because people keep tat like this HT think they can get away with cheaply produced final pieces!

I cancelled mine...getting tired of the misleading prototypes from manufacturer's,then Showing us one thing and giving us something different..

this figure is not cheap and it needs to be (almost) perfect

Maybe you should actually read what you post before you comment on it then. You said (and quite dramatically I might add) that people should stop complainging about PERS because the problem was only the sculpt. Yet you also say the PERS doesn't look good...

I am confused. The PERS doesn't look good and yet that doesn't at all contribute to the overall likeness issues at hand?

Besides Hamill was never as good looking as that prototype.

I'm beginning to think these photos are either doctored or purposely photographed poorly in an attempt to hurt HT sales, etc. Like an insane pro Enterbay only employee or fanboy... or something! There's no way HT would ever let that get approved for production!

these figures always look 1000xs better in person, ht paint and sculpt is so subtle lighting and camera quality is the first factor these things get magnified and washed out beyond belief
i was never going to get this from the jump, ill just get some parts and pieces
you get way more than just a head sculpt for 300 bux and if you have a collection this will part of a larger picture

Well actually, I said quit blaming the pers, its a **** sculpt end of. So I was implying that the whole head is just ****, regardless of the pers.

Um.... Last I checked PERS was part of the "whole head" and I am 100% that PERS greatly effects the sculpt sooooo....

Just look at the shoddy sculpt with the eyes covered up, he has a stupid Johnny Bravo jawline, no texture to the skin, ridiculously cheap paint job, eyebrows that cut off too short, stupid shaped lips, and so on and so on...

Trust me, those eyes are not playing too much of a part in making that sculpt look ****!

I'm hoping this turns out like the Rescue Version Captain America where the initial pics failed to impress but the majority who own it really love it. Hopefully, it doesn't turn out like the DX Indy. I guess at this stage the jury is still out.

I can't see how rubbish pics can change the whole shape of a jawline?
I get that some elements can be put down to flash photography such as the lack of texture on the skin etc, but it can't be to blame for everything, especially not the poor stitching and crappy clothes.
