Anyone think the rumors might be true that wb might use joseph gorden levitt to carry this series forward instead of starting from the beginning again. I would rather see this than another reeboot or do nothing at all nothing will top christoper nolans trilogy. Im betting dollars to dohnuts thoughthat even though chris nolan said he is done that wb is going to beg him to come back and throw tons of money at him cause this trilogy was a cash cow.

OH MY GOD. It's the same ending! Right down to the "NOT DEAD!" and ROBIN. :lol

If they reboot, it has nothing to do with trying to TOP Nolan's version.
It will be something different, and that's what I want to see.

A new approach, another new style. Maybe a little more fantastical again, and bring in some of the more unique villains, without necessarily going full retard like Batman and Robin.
If Spiderman can make the Lizard believeable and well done, you can do this with Batman.

And even the style could be different. Maybe even darker, or something stylistic.
Who knows.

But we all know they will try again and reboot at some point.

Loved Banes voice and thought her death mirrored her fathers but when she croaked I thought her performance was poorly executed.

I was a little let down to see Nolan fill the climax with action movie cliches we've seen before like the Return to Sender Missile and Fake Out Death.

I had the same emotional disconnect with Bane as I did with the Green Goblin. You just can't cover that much of the actor's face without it feeling like a Power Rangers villain dubbed by a voiceover actor.

Talia's moment of death got just about the only laugh in the movie.

It was the worst acted/directed "croak" scene since Anakin's mom died.

Her death was like something from an 80's movie! Even more so, she croaked it after the crash but good ol' Gordon is rolling around in the back of the truck with a friggin giant metal bomb and survives:lol

i agree with all of the above statements, personally i think it was the very dramatic and almost cliche' closing of the eyes that sort of takes you out of the moment...keep the eyes open no need to close them.

:lol Oh no....

So people seem to really like Catwoman. Does this undermine the theory that Nolan can't direct woman or is the success of Catwoman purely Hathaway?

she was awesome....perfectly played.

did anyone else pick up on she might have been a former prostitute as CW is portrayed in Frank Millers's graphic novel??

Yes. We see Hardy's face during a flashback.

He did...but his voice. I hated it. I was so obviously a redub. It sounded halfassed, and out of place.

can this be confirmed??? i know that there was a bit of a backlash after the 6 minute preview that was shown at the beginning of the last MI movie, but i only saw a bootleg of the footage and the audio wasnt the best.

Well, it came off as a very obvious re-dubb.

The sound didn't jive with the film. It felt something tacked on later.

Another thing , during the plane jacking they give that corpse some blood to pass it off as the doctor's body? Yeah that'll work...

I liked how the truth about harvey dent came out also thought it was cool that commisioner gordanwanted the city of gotham to know that it was bruce wayne that was batman and the savior and protector of gotham city. Also found it interesting tha tcommisioner gorden saw something in john blake to realize he was someone trust werth and of integrety to tell him that bruce wayne was batman so early.

No batman is BRUCE WAYNE not John Blake . I'd rather see a reboot then some nameless character become batman.

John blake aka robin would not became batman he would become night wing I know it would never happen but I thought it was awsome that bruce left him the batcave and I guess all the weapons that came with it. I was hoping at the end when they showed john blake rising up in the cave they were going to show him reach for the bat cowl or suit.

I gotta be honest, the ending killed it for me. Batman faking his death so he can have a normal life showed a lack of understanding of the character. Bruce Wayne needs to be Batman, he can't stop, and doesn't want to. Even with Alfred leaving and the rest of his world falling apart, he can't give up being Batman. It's like an addiction. Which is also why I don't get Rachel's death and Harvey Dent making him stop for 8 years.

Are you using the films as your basis for your claims? Because if not, then you're wrong.

This is Nolan's Batman. Based off the comics. Not the comics come to life on screen.

I don't get the need for absolute comic accuracy. You can't take something with hundreds of issues, and make a perfect copy of it.

People told me that Amazing Spider-Man was great because it was closer to the comics. It wasn't great. It was dull. Comics don't matter.

The film is a separate entity. I wish people would get that,

definitely...the mix didnt match...for a minute i thought his mask was amplifying it but that wasnt the case.

loved the movie though...you know a movie is good when it stays with you. cant wait to see it again.

You completely and utterly misunderstood the ending it seems.

He didn't do it for himself.

He did it to finally give Gotham a true hero to be inspired by, he finally became the legend he was destined to be. Anyway I will be laying my thoughts out in more detail after further viewings

Some lingering questions that I think I know the answer to, but have second thoughts...

1) Did the tracker lead Blake to the cave under the mansion, or a different cave?

2) Is Blake meant to be the next Batman? I assumed Wayne was done completely, but even with a cave full of stuff, who would train Blake?

I was hoping for Liam Neeson's main cameo to be in a flashback with Bane and/or Talia. Could have been shown during Talia's story. Didn't really care for the hallucination.

Also found it interesting tha tcommisioner gorden saw something in john blake to realize he was someone trust werth and of integrety to tell him that bruce wayne was batman so early.

Gordon didn't tell Blake that Bruce was Batman. Blake figured that out himself.
