Not sure if a pic of the figure was shown or just a movie still, but at a show years ago the was a comingsoon picture for rorschach. That means to me that a figure was developed but never saw the light of day due to bad sales on the previous 2 I'm guessing. Still waiting to hear something on the Ironman hall of Armor

So I don't see anything strange in the fact that we're still waiting for a new version of Cap.

I agree. I was speculating on whether or not they may put off USO Cap for Avengers Cap even though a pic of USO cap had been leaked.

I cant see that they'd scrap a figure that they've already shown altogether. I can see a possible delay so he comes out after The Avengers Cap but would people still be interested then?

Even though TFA cap has not sold out, I would imagine that there will be renewed interest for it when the Red Skull is shipped. Likewise, there will also be interest in buying the skull when the USO version is shipped/announced for pre-order. Even though I'm not looking forward to the Avengers cap, I would think there would be more interest for all the others when it is released. Maybe.

Don't think they officially showed it, it was leaked, not sure if the leak was from an official HT catalogue and if that counts as being announced.
I might be way off but I would of thought any catalogue with promotional shots of figures to be released would have to be approved by HT first

Let's be honest, this will come out long before any Avengers figure of Captain America. With seven possible figures not counting any cameos we haven't seen and or any villains we are unsure of they'll definitely sell this and then after it's shipped they'll preview a Cap Avengers figure with other members of that team filling in the blanks in between.

It's hard not to feel like they've missed out on the prime release window for this one. I'm sure they'll still release it, but I doubt as many will care — not with the Avengers ____ on the way, Red Skull PO waiting to cash in, and the fact that this is just a brief, alternate look. You get the sense that this just dropped way down on the priority lists, perhaps even off some radars completely.
The ironic part is how it'll most likely have a lower edition size making it all the more desirable in the long run

Well the first one didn't sell out despite people going ape____ about it. I'm sure that didn't exactly give them the highest caliber of priorities. I still think this one will do better than the first one released and I have a feeling it'll do leaps and bounds better than the eventual Avengers piece.
I say the first one didn't sell out because the head didn't look like Evans and it didn't come with a bloody alternate head.

It does seem like everything released since Q4 of last year is hanging around with no signs of selling out. Indy, Capt. Jack, Alice, Mk V, Capt. America, etc.
