it's one that I've never posted. I don't know if I'm allowed to show it, or how it even works since it's the real thing now

I'm pretty sure that, until it's actually published, you aren't allowed to post it. You'd probably want to ask the artist if/when you can post it, so he doesn't end up violating his NDA with the publisher.

Congrats on getting a commission published! DeBalfo just mentioned to me about not posting images up for public view because the publisher needs to have it solicited first (whatever that means). So it doesn't sound like there's a definitive rule against showing it if you didn't get it drawn with a pre-determined NDA in mind beforehand.

Still, better safe than sorry I can't wait to see yours if I haven't already!
