Not down for me, I think some guys are having problems with the new dash update.

Never-mind, just got disconnected :lol

It's down, it's up.

What a mess.

New look sucks, they made everything too damn small!

Zune crap is still being used, just give me access to my videos w/o Zune already, the product is dead, they stopped producing Zune players, just let it go already MS.

Jut played this yesterday for the first time in a month, swear the controls and teammates have gotten worse. The back to karkand maps aren't any better than the ones that came with the game either.

Or you've just gotten worse? Look on the bright side, at least you had an awesome K/D in MW3.

My old comp just couldn't keep up, so I took the plunge & the last part finally turned up today.

Hope to get her built this weekend! Can't wait to give it a good burn in with BF3.

Ive been playing on the xbox and Im a hardcore COD player from the early days and up thru the modern warfares. I have MW3 and BF3. I was actually going to trade in my BF3 to pick up MW3 and on behalf of my laziness I never did. Now Im so glad I didnt. Ive played maybe a handfull of MW3 games, but BF3...I cant get enough of. Just the amount of things you can do is just staggering. Certain time i just do my best to mortar the whole map and other times I go anti-sniping and try and kill as many snipers as I can. I love the knife kills and claiming the dog tags (such a great idea). Also when shooting having to calculate the distance and gravity issue to the point of aiming over someones head to get that shot at a long distance. Little things like that just it over the edge. Im not hating on MW3 because I think its still a solid game, just takes the whold modern shooter in a different direction in my opinion. The atmosphere that BF3 puts out there just cant be matched, from explosions and soldiers yelling and requesting ammo and health to bullets whizzing by your head. I'll be honest like I said in the beginining I so doubted BF3 and now man...I cant get enough of it. I cant wait for those new maps.

BF3 multiplayer is a much better experience than any COD multiplayer game yet go look at the # of players playing BF3 compared to MW3.

It's crazy that MW3 is played a ton more than BF3, don't gamers realize what it is that they're missing.

Just open your eyes and look at the gameplay videos of BF3, how could anyone choose MW3 over BF3 is baffling to me.

Sure there are gamers playing both, but MW3 is still much more popular than BF3 :cuckoo:

I don't think many of them do know what they're missing. They play CoD and that's it. I don't get that mentality at all. If you like shooting people, why not try other games where you shoot people? CoD seems to be the first online shooter for a lot of people and they don't care about trying anything else. I'll never get it.

Now don't get me wrong, I subscribe to the mentality that if I can afford both, I will play both.

We all know they provide totally different experiences, and every once in a while I will also enjoy playing the MW games, they're not bad military FPS games.

But BF3 (and Bad Company 2) level of interactivity and fun they are not, not even close. :lecture

I'm just baffled how much less BF3 is played than MW3.

I'm the opposite, I own both yet play BF3 a ton more :lecture

Man is BF3 addictive.

I just wish I could play it on a $2K-3K computer connected to my TV with 64 players.

64 players BF3 = :google :panic: :google

My only wish is for the next Xbox to be able to handle 64 players BF with the graphics of BF3 on PC Ultra settings.

That's what I want out of my the next Xbox, you listening Bill. :lol

Some people can't handle tanks, and helicopters, and jets shooting at you; much less a person, I guess?

:dunno

You could build a PC that will run BF3 at high settings for less than that (1K at the most). You already have the TV. You can do it.

Hmmmm.....

What is the recommended Motherboard/Memory/CPU/Videocard to run this game at beast level.

I wouldn't use the computer for anything other than BF3 straight into the TV, I already have laptops for everything else.

Well, I would also use it for BF4 :lol

Isn't the videocard alone like $500-$800. :horror

Edit: You're right

Amazon has Microtel "Gaming PC" for $860.00.

Microtel Computer® AMTI9025 Gaming Computer with 3.4GHz AMD Phenom II x4 965 Quad-Core processor, 8GB DDR3/1333, 1TB, 24X DVD-RW, NVIDIA GeForce HD N550 GTX-TI 1GB GDDR5 Video Card.

Or for $730.00.

Microtel Computer® AMTI9020 Gaming Computer with 2.8GHz AMD Phenom II X4 925 Processor, 8GB DDR3 1333, 1TB Hard Drive, 24X DVD-RW, ATI Radeon HD 6570 2GB GDDR3 Video Card.

Man, $730 just for BF3.....might be worth it :lol

The trick is following techbargains.com and pulling the trigger on their hottest deals. Do you know how to build your own PC? I can't attach the processor, my buddy does that. After that I do the rest.

My box:

$120 for an solid state drive (SSD); 99 GB - it was supposed to be $90 but I didn't mail in the rebate on time.
$20 network card.
$90 RAM (you could totally get this for dirt cheap nowadays).
$30 PC case.
$50 motherboard with 2 PCI-e slots so you can link both video cards.
$90 power supply.
$100 GALAXY GTS-450 but really $60 with $40 rebate.
$100 EVGA GTS-450

Total is $600. $560 minus the video card rebate; $530 if I got that SSD rebate.

And that's just basics; I didn't add a keyboard, mouse and speakers (which I got from work mind you they're not high end). But it's totally affordable.

Get tons 16 GBs of RAM, a 6 core processor. An SSD helps but it's not recommended. Get some cheap NVidia video cards and link 'em with an SLI cable and make sure your motherboard supports that feature too.

I think brand its self makes COD have outstanding figures and its almost fashionable for the casual gamer to own a copy of COD and obviously the fact you can pick it up and play.
For the hardcore gamers, its those reasons that make it so frustrating.
If COD paste there next game over with blue guns or better flames, it will still sell a bucket load.

You just get the feeling this series if stripped back and re-done, re-thought out, It could go to another level and really raise the bar very much like COD4 did its day.
