Hey I have a question guys. I was wondering how bad is the staining problem with the Game of Death Bruce Lee bodies? I still haven't dared to put on the upper part of the suit.
Is the later batch movie resistible towards staining or it's still the same?
I know I should probably wash the suits once. Does the suit still stain the body after wash? What did you guys do? Waiting for some advice. Thanks!

You answered your own question. The suits need a good washing to help prevent the staining. 1st or 2nd batch bodies won't make a difference b/c it's the clothing that is the problemo.

I never washed mine b/c I won't be selling them. I'll keep 1 body that will always stay shirtless so that it will always stay mint, the legs I could care less about.

you could wash the suit in mild soapy water, then give it a cold water + vinegar wash, then a clean water rinse. That should fix the colours somewhat.

Or you could be like, who cares 'cause how much do you really want to display Bruce's torso anyway :wink1:

I don't know. I do like this muscle defined body. I might display him shirtless at times. To me it's more about trying to preserve my toys in the best collection possible.

Thanks for the instructions. I'll give it a try.

I've heard people suggesting washing the suit first but I'm curious as to how much it helps. Does it completely solves the problem or somewhat.

The body I got from Guo Bei was immaculate and had been part of the box set before he parted it out. I soaked the suit when I got it and very little dye came out. This was the Non BD suit which I only put on his legs.

I would be very careful about soaking the BD version with the footprint as it could come off.

Personally, if you're going to put the suit on him and not take it off again I wouldn't worry, who'll see the stains if there are any!?

Also, if you want a shirtless one keep a body spare for that purpose, they're not that expensive.

As far as I am aware, early suits had a lot of excess dye in them. Later suits, such as the ones you can get from Guo Bei, have less excess dye in them and are less prone to stain.

Soaking does help, though, as I said, I'd be wary of doing this to the BD one.

Hmmm, interesting. Is it segregated by which release? 1st Wave, Beijing Expo, etc?

I have one coming in the mail, I'm almost sure it's the regular first version. Is there pics of the stained suits? This thread is tooo big to dig through.
