Not enough to go on just yet, but from this alone, and for me maybe it's the head size, or general shape, can't quite place it, but this is severely underwhelming.

Swing and a miss.

Then again so was Aragorn and they came back with one of the best looking mass produced prototypes in the market. They need to redo it.

EDIT: I think it's the head shape in general, but I also think I've pinpointed what it is. It's the fact his head sits on top of the neck with clear divide, Cavill has very defined SCM muscles which help define his characteristics in his appearance. The seperation of them really highlight how it adds to his features.

EDIT EDIT: If someone can photoshop this head where those muscles properly connect all the way to the ears with no gaps then it'll probably improve the likeness quite a bit.

Definitely needs work. Wish we could see the full figure. From the little we see proportions do look good.

I think the suit colors and chrome undersuit reflections are going to be really hard to judge with just the one teaser pic. Lighting has so much to do with it. These two shots of the same body on a modded HT fig show just how much that chrome comes through, or vanishes all together depending on the light. The same could be said for likeness. I'm going to wait for the full reveal before making up my mind on it.

The heck the eyes look weird. In fact the whole upper half just looks off.

Really need to see the suit though. If they can't replicate HT's silver body it's a big loss. It's one of the things I hate most about the statues, they're just all sculpted and dull with no silver underbody. Prime 1 and HT nailed that aspect.

I'm sure they'll do a great update. Their Aragorn was Faramir before... now it's the best fig they've done.

I’ve had the figure as well and still found it to be a clumsy mess. Constipated face, dull suit, bulky cape, oddly proportioned body, arms that stick out too far etc etc. I’m not saying someone else shouldn’t enjoy theirs, just that I personally felt it was a miss. Maybe acceptable for it’s time, but I’ve seen so much better since.

This picture is awful, i have the figure and in hands she's great.

Skin tone looks accurate to me. Aside from that one image that keeps getting posted he did look very pale in the movie.

Interesting that IA is only showing the sculpted hair. I wonder if there will even be a rooted version coming.
Sculpted Aragorn is still up on OSK for $335 and if Supes is about that price (assuming there won’t be some giant base), I think it will be a no brainer for most people who see this as an upgrade. Already hopelessly excited for more pictures.

I just never understood what the hell Hot Toys was referencing with that body. What were they looking at that made them think he has boulders for shoulders?

Every figure except Harry and maybe Pennywise follow this exact cycle… it’s a complicated marriage
Exactly.

To be fair though, first shots (and original sculpt) of Aragorn were pretty bad to say the least. They had to go back to the drawing board with that. Who knows if we would've gotten the amazing updated proto had ppl not spoken up about it. And then again with the subsequent updates to the outfit and accessories.

Same could happen here. If we just nod pretending to gush all over something that doesn't look to be up to InArt's previous efforts and don't speak up about it, we're not going to get the best of the best. I don't want something that just looks like a HT 2.0. I would like something that looks like a real miniature person just like InArt's previous figures do.

It was nice for it's time and a pretty good update to the MOS figure from a technical stand point as far as the construction and materials of the suit. But the body proportions and headsculpt have always been an issue. There's a lot wrong with the BvS and JL figures that I could dive into. I know the real red and blue suits like the back of my hand.
