This is exactly the issue. The sculptor mistook a fuller, longer beard for a fuller, longer face. The reason it looks sort of ok in wider shots is because our eyes can't see the beard hair length. In the close-ups, like you say it's tight stubble over a long wide jaw instead of a long beard.

Yup, the beard should be more like the goatee on the ROTS sculpt.

USB hubs that plug into your wall are relatively inexpensive.

If I were to try to light up my 1/6, which I won't because I don't even light up my 1/4 statues. But if I did, I'd use a smart plug and have them all connected to a voice command to turn them on or off. I've got the six life-size Boba Fetts and a life size Han in Carbonite that are all smart plus and USB enabled for their LED (chest, panels, etc.). They all come on with the primary smart switch in my basement and I generally voice command them all off with one statement as there's no point in burning those LEDs while I'm down here working all day. It would be pretty cool to enable that for a bunch of statues and 1/6 but their approach to powering the lighting (sometimes battery) makes that a PITA and while I could invest in a bunch of the soap thingys, 1/4 and 1/6 light up just doesn't dazzle me enough to invest in the trouble...

USB should also run from a power bank if you are somewhere remote away from a wall.

- Both characters are legendary heroes from Star Wars

- Both of them were later portrayed on screen as cowardly weak fools

- Both had their stories hijacked by Disney/Lucasfilm's agenda

I hope they took notice to the failed funding of the Haslab Reva Saber as a sign. If they are going to make an Inquisitor, the GI is a good choice.

The campaign ended with 3600 backers still required. Only got about 1400. Hasbro disabled comments all of their social media posts regarding the project because they couldn't handle the criticism.

Failed Haslab project. It was overpriced to begin with. They also picked the wrong Inquisitor IMO.

Just saw this proto up close and not even the socks can save it in its current form in my view. The head sculpt has a few issues and just doesn’t look like McGregor. It may even turn out alright but I won’t pre-order and risk getting this version. It’s not HT recent-year standard.

The rocks look a bit rubbish - big and clumsy. I really disliked the show and the almost everything about it so I may be a bit biased. It’s too expensive also.

Excuse the hot take, but I don't think I've ever been more baffled by the off look of a Hot Toys figure. What a terrible sculpt.

I really think the previous ROTS sculpt is closer to the OWK series look than this is, apart from the shorter hair. He looks far too bloated In this sculpt version.

Failed Haslab project. It was overpriced to begin with. They also picked the wrong Inquisitor IMO.

For me that's the beauty of that model. Ask the customers what they want. If it's popular enough then make it. If not, don't. Price is based on covering tooling costs assuming the minimum number of backers.

It's all about risk minimisation for the company paying for all the tooling etc without knowing if it will sell. A great model for many collector products imo.

I really wish Hot Toys would do that on a few less popular figures per year. Or perhaps a larger vehicle or two.

But they are not as open to more modern ways of business apparently.

Wow, only 1400 backers for the Reva lightsaber out of the 5000 target - barely over 25%. And over nearly two months.

The much (and deservedly so) maligned Hasbro Pulse Rancor actually made it over 8500 toward the much higher 9000 target, so essentially 95%.

But we all know who and what to blame for the lack of backing for Reva's lightsaber: the fans, and as for the what - well, you know - Disney made it pretty clear that if fans didn't like Reva, they knew what was behind it.
