Dude, how sick would a Khonshu figure look?

moon-knight-khonshu.jpg

I mean if it was done properly. He would definitely need a custom body. Those strips of cloth could be wired so you can pose them. I have no idea how they would do the floating skull.

Maybe they could do it the same way they did the floating crown on Hellboy. But then the head couldn't turn. Unless they suspended the ball joint and the skull connected to that so it can swivel.

I’d just think a clear neck joint would work.

I love the design, but mostly because it reminds me of Injustice Scarecrow.

I haven't seen any of the series yet, but that'd be cool! I really liked Spector and Konshu's dynamic in the comics. so it's pleasing to know (Konshu) appears in the show.

Now that we have seen both MK and Mr Knight in costume and without the mask on, I am wondering if they might do a Mysterio and add the head sculpt later on or even better do a Deluxe two pack with both characters like they did with Boba Fett? I guess that won’t happen until HT see they can make money off it.

Pick the least consumer friendly option.

I'd hafta go for Konshu, which means picking up MK, plasticy or not. Maybe a dulling spray would take the plastic look down.

One slightly disappointing thing about this figure for me is that it's "below average" height (i.e., about 11.5 inches.) Now I know that's show accurate as Oscar Isaac is probably about 5'8", but nevertheless I'd prefer for the Moon Knight on my shelf to be a tad taller. It's been years and years since I've done this but I'm going to have to find ankle extenders for him. Assuming Hot Toys even constructs their ankles the same way as they used to; it's been years since I've taken a boot off a male figure. Anyone know the cheapest way to pick up a pair of ankle extenders, and do they all work with every Hot Toys male figure?

I noticed that too. I’d prefer him to be taller myself.

Officially, Moon Knight’s height is a bit weird.

According to my Marvel Encyclopedia, Punisher is 6’1”, and Moon Knight is 6’2”. So… *confused shrug*

Oscar Isaac is 5’9”, I think. Not tall, but not THAT short.

HT are completely incapable of being consistent with heights. I know it’s hard but try not to think about it:)

Will love to eventually have this in my collection. I'm sure once this eventually is released in the states mid 2024, I will still feel the same to place my order because it's Moon Knight after all. Quite the long estimated release window on SSC.

I will have to enjoy my One:12 Mezco 1/12th scale until then. Although I could sell it right now and pay for a good portion of the HT version 🤔

Yeah I really like the Mezco Moon Knight too!

HS, no HS, that is still a figure that I'm not spending 350€ on. It's like an unpainted WH40K model. It's not HT's fault per se as that is the tv look, but their shortcuts made it worse. It hurts that the Mezco ones are pretty much perfect in regards to a small, pages-to-3D MK doll:

Yeah I really like Mezco's Moon Knights, I picked up both and they look awesome and I agree, I think they are pretty good figure adaptations from the comics, especially the black and white version in my opinion.

I'll be just fine with my Mr. Knight (which I hope HT makes and gives him an Isaac sculpt plus some cool extras) and hope they give him another suit moving forward. I'm rooting for the Shalvey look personally:

The all-white is the classic and has a unique look, but I like how the new one has him blend into the night with the black parts, making the chest armour stand out and create a crescent moon, same with the hood and the head. I get the Egyptian theme of the D+ suit, and I like the idea, but MK's design, name and lore never made sense. He's a "Knight" but has no armour (or Code, or anything tied to the concept), he dresses like a ninja themed like a ghost, and the Egyptian bit is lot beyond the Moon insignia. So going purely off aesthetics, I think the Shalvey/Ellis look works best. It's armour (Knight), it's got the Moon bits, it keeps the Spectre look, and the centre armour looks like an Egyptian collar. Plus, it wouldn't dirty as easily as an all-white suit, which could face the same problems as this one, meaning it looking "unpainted". Not to mention, with the Shalvey/Ellis look, there wouldn't be a problem of the mixed media not coming together. The black would be cloth/soft goods and the armoured bits would be plastic as usual. None of that cloth-bandages-sculpted-and-looking-cheap nonsense.

I think I'd have to say the B&W version is my favorite suit as well. It'd be cool if it makes it into the show!

Another episode, another set of items that would be perfect as accessories. I think Hot Toys rushed this one out way too fast.

I like both looks a lot, I’m not sure which I prefer. But I do like the appearance of both of these more than the design used on the show so far.

I passed on everything Mezco since I knew that I wouldn't be able to stop, and it's too much of a hassle trying to get the exclusives and such. I am waiting for their Doom, but it's been, what, half a year since they teased him and no PO...

Anyway, I want MK to get a better suit later down the line, and I think the B&W look would make for a better figure, but we'll see. As it stands, I'm passing on the existing version and will just get a Mr. Knight if they do him.
