Just my luck. Secret Compass got their City Hunters later than Spec, but Spec is getting their Big Chaps later than Secret.

I honestly think it all depends on what they prioritized. There was only so much room evidently so they chose which pieces were put on the vessel. I've paid for shipping so I'm going to be a nervous wreck until I open it.

For those who missed out like myself, Secret compass has a couple of these available again. I guess he had some cancellations. Anyway, he told me he has two DX versions only. But that's now one because I've just bought one of them.

Honestly a little worried due to all of the breakages, but I thought I'd missed out on this and very much regretted it, so I wasn't going to pass up the chance to get one, even at a higher price. Fingers crossed for all of us about to receive one...

Thank you! I did tell him to inspect it if he wishes, but I didn't get a clear answer on that. I did however get assurances that I am fully covered for a full refund should it arrive damaged. Obviously I'd rather have the statue. But that does offer peace of mind at least for such a large financial outlay. I pumped for the DX for two reasons. One, because they do appear to be arriving intact more. And two, because it was something like £300 ish more. And even though I much prefer the closed mouth, there's no way you're getting a half decent 1/3 Alien bust for that kind of money otherwise. Just look at their 1/3 Predator heads...

I've got to be honest, I initially ordered the Big Chap and Warrior to round out the bust trio. My plan was to sell the main statues afterwards unless they really impressed me (and only if I could find a way to display such monstrously huge, heavy pieces). Would be a bummer to receive a broken statue as 1. I'd have to forfeit the bust and 2. even if the bust was in good condition, I wouldn't be able to sell the rest unless at a deep discount. Glad I ordered from Spec in that regard.

Yeah Im glad my supplier checks the stock before shipping to make sure they not sending damaged goods to you.

My concern is if they pack it incorrectly or carelessly. It could still get damaged from them to you.

yeah thats a worry also. guess its a trade off about if you can trust them or not. but I knew the store I got it from is actually pretty good with customer care and shipping.

I have to agree with you on this. When I took mine out and saw there was no damage I said this statue will never go back inside that box again. I am even thinking about just tossing the boxes out. I’m never going to sell this piece and if I ever have too then it will be for pickup only.

The issue is prime1 didn't make replacements for it. So that just means the one you get (broken or not) is all you can get

Well, that was probably the shortest time I’ve had a piece on order.
Paid for the regular from SC on Wednesday evening, and unfortunately received an email last night saying that they can’t ship it as there are many defects after I requested an inspection before it being shipped out.
