Thanks guys, but I think the underlying sculpt could still be stronger.

I'd definitely be down for a Gandalf the White and Saruman from QS, since who knows when Asmus might get around to rereleasing those two.
Asmus lost the license no?

Glad the sculpted versions are still open a bit longer, didn't have any interest in the rooted hair but I was going back and forth between the Standard and Premium. I definitely prefer the sculpted hair since I can save myself the obsession over getting it "perfect" and something about it works more for me, even with the seams. The only question was whether or not I needed two Jokers, which I don't, so I thought I'd be fine with the Standard but that damn Jail Cell head won me over. The smirk and smudged makeup is how I envision TDK Joker, so I guess I can do with two Jokers after all!

so do we think this is actually coming out this year?

Like many statue companies, Queen Studios is known to produce and release in batches.

So while they may ‘start’ releasing the figures, there’s no guarantee on when each of us will be receiving their individual order.

Exact same happened to me too 😂

I honestly hope it doesn’t. It feels like they got way more orders than they’d anticipated, so I hope they take their time to make sure the quality is up to snuff.

If you order early from kit your chances are better

If they knew they should have beat QS to the punch with a 3.0 Joker. QS Batman isnt expected until later in the year so HT could have waited a couple months.
Maybe, but if they wanted to make a statement with a pre-emptive strike so to speak then focusing on Batman was the way to go given it's currently more relevant than TDK. Sure they could also have pre-empted the Ledger Joker but that might start looking a bit like desperation.

Or maybe Batman wasn't pre-emptive at all and they released him exactly as they always intended. Only HT can say.

Looks like our friend danoby got torn a new one by justins collection and co. Seem they took down the stream tho.

I don't think Hot Toys is sweating over this. They're making loads of figures for some of the most popular IPs and they have a freakin' legion of dedicated fans that will always be in their corner. They're raking in the dough. Now I can imagine Howard's ego getting to him. Like, "Who do they think they are? WE make the best licensed Jokers in the biz." That sort of thing. If they're gonna do a Joker 3.0 (which I think is likely) then they really, really need to bring the goods in a way that shows they're still willing to push the hobby forward and not just a mostly retread of previous Jokers. No repaints, no same old suit with bathrobe purple coat, no same old gloved hands from the same mold they've been including in all their Joker releases. And I honestly don't think they'd go that far. I can see them making a 3.0 with a new sculpt, but with well done rooted hair, or completely new suit, hands and accessories? Nah. One of the worst things they could do to compete with this is make a rooted hair Joker using that god-awful synthetic plastic-y looking doll hair. :lol

Where's this from? I can't find it on their social media.

Will Viper be doing The Batman figures to?

None of their Batman statues have turned out great in my opinion so I'm surprised there is such confidence QS Pattinson figure is going to be a masterpiece.

To top the HT version it will have to be near perfect. I don't pre-order HT anymore so just happy to wait and see all the offerings before making any decisions.

Hopefully they scale well together if we mix and match figures.

If you take a closer look tbe front chest armor plate and cape already looks way better than hot toys

The likeness on their 1/3 may not be perfect, but if they were to shrink it down to 1/6 I think it would still be a big improvement over the HT sculpt. And I'd love to see the batsuit given that much more leathery appearance as well, instead of looking so obviously like a mix of fabric and plastic.

Yeah I agree with that. There’s no doubt the Hot Toys figure is an insanely extravagant package, but something about the eyes misses the mark for me. Pattinson was pretty weary looking in the entire movie, not wide-eyed.

If the InArt figure captures that look, then that’s the one I’ll go with.
