(or just release C-3PO at all)

I'm really surprised there isn't more of a rally cry for this figure.

The very first character to be seen onscreen (with R2)... the character that carried the story along to Luke (with R2)... one of the three original 'most iconic' characters of ANH: Vader, 3PO and R2. Until Yoda, those were the faces of Star Wars. Its hard to remember how revolutionary 3PO and R2 were in their time.

And Hot Toys seems to have forgotten all about him. Because he's a robot, I would have bet he would be one of HT's first SW figures. But he remains strangely absent.

3PO is the Greef Karga of SW.

I want a HT version of him, but I do have the Tamashii diecast so his strange omission is at least bearable. Did you skip the Tamashii?

Yes. Had I known that I would have had the Tamashii fill in for all these years I may have purchased him after all.

That said, I do have the non-opposable thumb 3PO from Sideshow which I actually quite like as a fill in.

The Sideshow 3PO is a classic -- I just wish it came with a card from Sideshow expressing their insistence back then that "the thumbs were designed that way". :lol

I definitely would love to see my ESB shelf get filled out a little more, and ROTJ too. Mando’s great and all but I wish they’d slow their roll on that just slightly.

It’s kinda funny seeing the wants from collectors on different forums, on Facebook and Discord, most of the Star Wars demands are Clone Wars and PT stuff, on here it’s Wedge and Veers lol
So what I’m saying is that most of you are boomers

I’m Gen Y and I would love to get Wedge and Veers. They’re up there for me with Admiral Ackbar, Nien Nunb, and General Calrissian.

But I also think we could use more PT and TCW characters.

Yeah a very quick glance of this sub and you can tell it's full of old boys. Anyone using those weird emojis from the early 2000s is a dead giveaway 😂

Either way it's not really a bad thing, it's quite nice getting a perspective of the Star Wars fans from "before", never had much opportunity to interact with them until now, it's all Mando/PT/CW hype on the other parts of the internet.

With the imminent release of ROTJ Scout and bike, ESB Han + Chewbacca and C3PO are the remaining vital missing pieces of the puzzle to complete my OT collection. But I'll very happy to add Bespin Luke and ROTJ Vader along the way while waiting for those too. Even now l still not believe Bespin Lando was actually being made. o_O

Just to be clear, it's Vers not Veers, and she was in the Kree Starforce, not Star Wars. :lecture

Bespin Han is forever in limbo, but really odd that they haven’t released Bespin Luke yet. That figure seemed ready to go.

ROTJ Vader seems like an easy one for ROTJ 40th in 2023.

I hope they have a few ROTJ figures planned for the 40th anniversary. The ESB anniversary release were underwhelming aside from the Lando announcement. That felt like a minor miracle.

NO.

I want this (these):

Maybe if we spam this picture on every Hot Toys post for the next two years, he will get made too.

What are you going to do, accuse HT of being ageist? Don't forget to rile up/unite all the computer literate, social media savvy octogenarians out there that need a Veers to go with the other tchotchkes on their nightstands. :lol

All kidding aside, does anyone realistically think HT is ever going to make a figure of a relatively obscure character that had 2 or 3 lines in ESB? They just got around to releasing Lando, and Bespin Han and C-3PO are nowhere in sight.
