It is sculpted directly from the film. The scene when Vasquez yells to drake. The only difference from the shot is the tail. And the front side is based on when she shoots it and the acid burns drake. So it's a front view and side view from the film. Hence the base with the egg and hive. View attachment 499843

I can see what prime 1 was trying to achieve to replicate that scene, more does not necessarily mean better and in this case, I still think they over cooked it (for me anyway). If you take the statue apart and look at the pieces individually, everything looks technically sufficient enough, but put it together, all the pieces compete for attention.

Not feeling it with this one, just seems the alien is out of focus i.e missing presence, almost like it lacks some bulk overall, maybe the head and shoulders a little small, it doesn't look like a heavy weight killer beast, feels like a light weight insectoid bug (which it kind of is), albeit an earthly one, like a praying mantis rather than a sinister evil unearthly being. The base with so many objects further takes away the aliens presence, it's messy and distracting, hard to view as a whole piece together.

Prime 1 do good prototypes. Production pieces are another story.

Their final products are still mostly great. CP has yet to put out a truly stunning final product and even their prototypes sometimes need work. To have visible seams on their Warrior when they had all the resources (and time) to doctor it up and make it look presentable? Why couldn't they pull that off?

If Prime 1 were manufacturing the CP Warrior statue, that would be the ideal scenario. Sadly, those of us who prefer a simpler display will have to roll the dice with a less consistent company. Maybe they'll do a good enough job on their new Predator busts to restore some faith.

the dog was completely re sculpted by p1 and printed and painted. What cp provided prime was was pretty terrible.

CP provided P1 with a scan of the rod puppet so they could build their details on movie-accurate proportions. I don't think it was ever meant to be the final piece.

these promo pieces are the same statue from ages ago. It's all really odd.

The current prototype is different from the 2018 one. Just look at the bust and base. Different water, different acid splotches, different ripple effect around the doll head (the 2018 one was better, this one is a little crude and dry...).

It's a little sad, they improved the look of the Alien itself, but the base is now worse.

The new terminator is pretty incredible. Most people are pretty happy with it other than the time it takes to assemble. What other pieces??

Some people are having issues with it leaning to the side, the worry being that it will worsen and cause instability over time.

Yes it has a slightly more lean forward but everyone that has it says it is extremely sturdy and solid. It's concern by people who don't have it yet. And It was a deliberate change by p1

Got this and can confirm, it is structurally very sound and is faithful in accuracy and detail. Second best endo, behind the looks to be newly arrive lifesize genisys

Incorrect, everyone who's received theirs has been happy, with the exception of Silent surfers who has been the only one that has a left leaning problem, which I feel bad for because prime 1 won't do anything about it.

The rest of the posters complaining pulled out, never received theirs and never seen it in person as they got spooked, they've made huge swiping judgement just from pics which can vary due to wide angle and lens differences. As I said in that endo thread, the piece is best seen in person. This piece will cost a fortune as it'll end up being a low number collectible.

It's a sideways lean and it seems to vary from piece to piece. SilentSurfer had a pronounced lean on his and it's been well-documented. Sure, people can see photos of something like this and get scared, but it's a little condescending to suggest the actual owners aren't impacted most.

I'm not saying it's widespread, but what SilentSurfer had to deal with proves that it's not consistent. And if you're one of the unlucky few to get a bad one, there's a good chance nothing can be done about it. That's a serious gamble at this pricepoint. It's the same reason I'm holding off on the CP Warrior Alien despite singing the design's praises.

Their Pred bust was another one.

Yeah, the mandibles on some were overly dark. Some folks also didn't like that Prime 1 sprayed skin tone over the brown forehead dots instead of fading out the dots themselves.

Definitely some inconsistencies but nowhere near as wide spread as some have made it out to be.

Agree for both the CP and even the P1 alien to wait and see, as Ripley says 'it's the only way to be sure'

That was like a nit pick. Most people are happy. Doesn't mean it looks bad. Or anything, now if you want me to talk about looking bad I could list some of cps pieces. If I had received one of thier life-size alien busts with those paint apps I'd have lost my ****. Lets face it, comparing prototypes to finished pieces between cp and p1, it's not even a comparison.

I'm getting pretty excited about the chap and warrior now. I feel like waiting for the chap is in the home stretch now. I'm just excited to have the 3 all together QstAUPt.jpg0HS1nLH.jpg

It actually looks really nice when you just see the top half like that.

Tbh I love the egg and the Alien. The only thing is the Hive, the acid burn is an easy adjustment that I'm actually looking forward to customizing. I don't mind the hive because I have the room to display it. But it would be a huge deal if they made it a separate piece that attaches. So the base would be a few inches smaller. The Warrior itself is perfect, the pose the details the paint. I'm excited to see if in hand. But first tlyGjTdy.jpghe chap.

I must admit, those new close up pics of the P1 Warrior does look great.

But that damn bloody base is still too damn big. Why are they making these already huge 1/3 statues with even larger unnecessary gigantic bases? I live in super expensive Northern California. I own a small home. House prices here are astronomical. I could buy a mansion in the Midwest if I were to swap, lol. But a large house in the Bay Area is out of my reach as property taxes would kill me. Maybe I will move to Texas some day, so I can get a much larger house with way cheaper property taxes and display giant statues with even larger bases, lol.

That Warrior would display fine without that hive thing in the back. It is so distracting. I hope it is removable. If I were to buy it, that part would go back in the box.

Instead of 30 x 30 (inches), the base would have ruled with a 20 x 20 surface area.

I preordered the P1 Big Chap. I will be not be displaying the back wall sculpture. P1 told me that it is a separate piece from the base, so I can display the statue with or without the wall. Only thing, there is going to be two holes on the base where the wall sits. But I am displaying the Big Chap up on a heavy duty industrial wall brackets/shelves (yes, screwed directly into wall studs) next to my CP Giger maquette, so the holes will never be seen. The thing is that I have cool framed posters set up, and that wall is going to cover them. Plus in my opinion, the wall blends too much with the statue, I want the statue to shine all by itself. I might be one of the very few people who will have the two competing 1/3 Big Chaps next to each other up high on the wall. I love my CP Giger maquette, it displays so nicely with its cabinet, a real homage to HR Giger’s museum piece. And of course, the P1 will be my movie Big Chap. Best of both worlds.

Yes, the wall sculpture will be going inside the box as well.
