Funny how this is the same price as Sideshows version that came out almost 2 years ago but this has more for your money.

I could be wrong. Looks like the preorder was supposed to drop March 31 2016. How long did it take to get in hand pics? 2-3 years ago?

Ah, so that's where Talibane got his 5 years from -- 3 so far plus the 2 waiting for this one in hand. I thought that SS Pilot had been around for 5 years already... sometimes time doesn't fly.

I completely agree with you. I?ve pre ordered this figure for a Dagobah version, but for me the SS version is the better and more accurate version by a fair distance. It?s my favourite figure in my collection. I hoping that by the time this comes out someone like Jinx will have sculpted a decent ESB Luke sculpt that can replace the very sub par head sculpt.

The Jnix ANH Luke gives me the heebie-jeebies whenever I see it.

The Sideshow version went to PO in early 2016 and shipped April of 2017. That's what I meant by it being between 5 and 5 1/2 years between ship dates SSC vs HT.

Five years between similar figures is pretty acceptable - if this figure shipped two years after the SSC fig, it would be more like "same timeline" but 5 1/2 years is a fairly long time. And for those who have it, they've had a decent Snowspeeder Luke in their collections all that time.

But yeah, that original snowsp Luke Sideshow price, just like their X-wing Luke, was just insane at the time. But then this fig is the most expensive "regular" Hot Toys SW figure isn't it?

This figure looks great and all (preordered) but where is General Maximillian Veers??
I know... probably the lowest on peoples 40th figure list but currently my most wanted from ESB.

Wow...24 hours later and sold out at Alterego, waitlist at Timewalker Toys. I am thinking retailers are being conservative with the current climate. Who knows where anyone will be in 2 years. Hot Toys needs to solicit items closer to release. If it's about production numbers and forecasts, they shouldn't need a full two years to lock in their quantities.

AE and TW get smaller allotments, BBTS usually gets more, but when SSC goes to WL, which may not happen for a long time, then you know it's going going gone.

I hope you?re right. Same thing happened with new Mandalorian. I planned to preorder from AE last night but hesitated because of the 2022 release date
