Bad enough they painted the light effect when they could have used translucent vinyl (as in the past), but the overspray kills it. No reason to have that much blue on the neck and back. The standard looks like a proper statue, the Ric looks like a repaint by someone who also airbrushes vans.

The main thing that bugs me is the lack of fine details between the scales on the Ric. On the standard you can clearly see the white lines, creases that separates the scales which makes them pop more and have more depth but it's either sorely lacking or very faintly painted on the Ric. This difference is present all over the figure as far as I can tell.

Standard all the way the white layer makes it pop so much more!

Not saying the RIC looks like trash not at all still a great piece but it loses out to the standard due to less detail showing and yes the van spray job lol

I love my Neca 1964. Any rumors as to the next Neca Goji? I personally would like to see the 2002 version or Millennium. 2005 would be OK, but any of the 1970's version would be a hard sell for me :rotfl

I see the Standard version pre order has already ended, wonder when the Deluxe version would come up.

Late to the party! Didn't even know the Xplus existed until this year. Sideshow's maquette was the one on my wishlist when they previewed it years back. That pose was awesome but the paint was dull. So glad I've held off for this one. Might hunt for the 2014 version next.
