Wow!!! So I've been really busy for the past couple of days and haven't really been online, so I'm just catching up on all the excitement of the Magneto PO! I'm not surprised at all that it sold out so quick to be honest. Best of luck to those still looking for one. I hope a few more pop up somewhere for you guys.

I think most people thought the US retailers here were going to get more statues then they got, I know Secret Compass only got 10, BBTS.com given how fast they sold out probably only had a handful also... And Speculative Fiction already stated he only got a few... So it's more of a lesson learned, that if you really want the statue and don't want to take a risk of missing out your going to have to buy it in advance from the members who live in Singapore and pay the $100+ more for air shipping... Something to think about with Wolverine and Phoenix coming up for pre-order

I think it's pretty obvious that the retailers in Singapore knew this was going to a be a hot seller and bought up the inventory quickly... Like I said before I won't be surprised to see more Mag's up for sell down the road but at a lot higher price then retail.

Not because of Mag, but I have actually decided to pass on the XM pieces, as well as future ones. I feel I probably should be even more selective to what I get, and while I truly love these XM pieces, I don't think it's for me. They definitely are phenomenal pieces, but these guys have a great rising popularity (great for them ) but if Mags is any indication of how popular, I'd rather just pass entirely. While I know how these pre-order things work; as I do it for my job a ton, I think I could better use my time into getting other things (I hate saying this word) convenient. Can't wait to see people and having future purchases coming from these badasses, more power to you, and best of luck on the hunting.

Disclaimer, I only collect female statues, and I have BW on PO, but with Ms. M and Phoenix running in, I don't know if this would be my thing.

You right Nem, the retailer sees good opportunity with this guy and stocking up on this Mag. 800 sold in a day, not bad at all.

You have to pay to play, and honestly don't be dumb, the max ES on these status is 999, very similar to when sideshow was starting out and they had their Pre-Order Thursday madness. We veterans still remember those times when you are hitting refresh constantly waiting for PO to get up because a statue was likely to sell out in less than 2 minutes. Sideshow used to have edition sizes of 1000-1500 (total of exclusives and regulars). Now we're so used to seeing edition sizes in the 5000 and the statue not selling out, but with XM There are no exclusives it's just one run of 999 max. So if you want it, get your damn orders in and don't wait. If you can't afford the line then that's fine too, nobody's pressuring you to order these. Remember also these guys can't sell directly in the US so now us US buyers are on the other side of the coin like international collectors are with sideshow. We have to pay import fees and heavy shipping fees to get a chance to order and own some of the best marvel statues out there now. I am willing to support this company because they support us as fans but again not everyone can afford to do so so if you can't don't feel bad, don't stress out, and just admire from afar and live vicariously through our pictures

I'd say you hit the nail on the head here. Magneto was an edition size of 800, where as the other XM releases were only 500 (I think) and those are freely available in the US. It sounds like the thee US retailers got maybe 30 total? I'm not even sure how BBTS sold out as it was gone before the pre-order e-mail even got sent out and you couldn't even find it on their site by searching for either XM Studios or Magneto. Similarly, Secret Compass put up their stock randomly in the middle of the day and sold out within minutes. Unless you're on your computer 247/7 checking these sites, you'll have virtually zero chance from these retailers. But there must be another 750+ pieces somewhere out there and I doubt all the collectors locally bought all of them.

I honestly expect the same thing w wolverine…they posted pics of the base recently and if that is any indication, that piece will be a damn gold mine as well…seriously looking terrific imo

I was refreshing the BBTS XM section waiting on Magneto to be put up....nothing. I saw someone post it was up for po but figured it was a link to My Little Porny again, since it didn't pop up on the XM search....so I missed out.

Well the information has been flowing for weeks now in the forum, there ws talk that the price was going to be between $850-$899. The repeated answer to the question "when is the PO coming out" always pointed out around the date they opened up the PO. If you want the statue that much you just have to show a little interest and do your homework.

Man I would have been pissed if I'd missed this statue after months of following this thread and keeping a close at eye at XM releases, if you wanted to buy this piece from the "known" retailers giving a little notice as you said would have only made this harder to get...it sold out in less that 24h without it, this are pieces with low ES you have to be more alert if you want a statue that much. The price and release window didn't come as a surprise to the ones that did their homework...

Not trying to trash anybody, I'm just a little annoyed about all the hate XM is receiving while they are doing a good job. Man I even received an email saying that they were sold out but they reserved a small stock for the guys that have bought their previous pieces, that's ****ing loyalty and I love the way XM do their business.

Yeah I been tracking this post and had mine locked down early because I knew an expected price and release date from everything that was being leaked on here. A lot of complaining seems to b coming from needs or those who have become accustomed to ss practices. The veterans ain't complaining because we have been there and done this before. Welcome back to the world of collecting all. You win some and lose some but there will always b another hot release just around the corner.

Pheonix is going to be just as bad if not worse. Hopefully everyone in this thread now understands the importance of getting your order in as early as you can. We will not be privi to an exact order date. However we will have avenues that most dont with ample time to lock these statues down. Hopefully some of us can now appreciate Kenny and Mark and the services they offer for us U.S. collectors. We have as close of a direct channel as one can have to XM in these two gentleman. There is not a single freak on this forum that has an excuse anymore. Your looking for the best deal? That's fine. Take your chances with another retailer. Don't be upset if you don't score one that way. You want your favorite character or like an XM sculpt so much you absolutely have to have it? Then message Mark or Kenny now and get yourself in the position to buy it. Simple as that fellas.

Bad news for Phoenix. It's on the bubble right now per Bryan at XM.

We are trying to get Ironman classic out to complete our 1/4 scale Avengers set but have been asked to KIV due to too much Ironman merchandise going out at the moment.So it will happen but it's gonna have to wait...

Now notice there's a distinct lack of X-Men in the roll out? Basically, there's been some franchise issues that Fox and Disney is working out so we have been advised to stop any X-men products until this is sorted out (hopefully soon!) We were lucky our Magneto and Yellow Wolverine got approved. Now we are very concerned about Phoenix... they have asked us to stop production for now. Man... we have invested so much time/costs and we know alot of you folks are
looking forward to it so we are praying hard they will let Pheonix go through as well. Am being extra extra nice to the Disney folks now - hope to push this through.

So having said that, all X-men characters are off for now - no Juggie, or Cyclops etc... gotta wait for the franchise rights to be sorted out. Sorry guys!

We also can't reveal what has been turned down.. doing so will imply what other companies are rolling out which means we will get into the naughty corner and possibly trouble! Sorry....

But don't worry guys, we have 3 new lines being negotiated and we should be able to reveal what they are soon...

Another Big news is that we have managed to get Erick Sosa to work with us as our Art Director for the next 12 months! He's a really busy and awesome dude and I'm deeply honored to be able to work with him. It's agreed in principal and we will need to work out some documents but we are gonna be rockin' new statues in 2015! YEAH BABY!
