Could anyone recommend what type of wire to use for chain accessories? In order to "pose" the chain.

I'd pick up some jewelry wire from a craft store; not too expensive and sold in spools. Go in and check out the different gauges to find one that is thin enough not to be distracting, but thick enough to hold a shape.
