Show Us Some ASH

At the start of the year I wanted to change my sideshow ash body and after spending way too much to find the best body I decided to go with the jx toys body. Once id put the sideshow clothes on the figure they were too baggy so I then had to find better clothes. After that I decided to get a new sculpt instead of using the sideshow one, then My chainsaw was stepped on and I had to fix what I could and remake what I couldn't. Then I thought if im doing all that I might aswell try and fix the harness. So after initially wanting to just swap the body ive ended up keeping only the chainsaw, boots, shotgun and the leather strap from the harness of the sideshow figure. This has by far been the most money and work ive ever put into a figure, which is fine because evil dead 2 has been my favourite movie for almost 17 years. Heres some pics of the new harness and the chainsaw completely repainted (T.bowen painted the base coat colors and I did all the weathering, made the top handle and made the wooden peices) nothings perfect but I prefer this chainsaw and harness+holster over sideshows.

I'm finished, some slightly better pics but they're still from my crappy phone. Figures still not beto/peteskywalker quality but I think its the best ash ive put together so far. If anyone wants some better pics I might try taking some in natural light tomorrow.

Yes thats right, its from that scene. I just accidentally put the wrong clothes on him, It is a little big or its from the small body I used but its mostly my bad photography I think. Bruce has kinda got a long face

Swapped out the Iminime head onto a SS Ash body. Used an old SS chainsaw. I'm going to need to get the head repainted and possibly mod the neck so the head will set better.

After alot of effort I think we fixed ashes googly eyes. Painting eyes is a pain in the butt

They came out well though. Have you considered decals? They're pretty easy to apply and look good at 1/6 scale.

Yeah I tried them first but the eyes aren't flat like mosts sculpts, they're fairly round and I couldn't get the decals to sit flat. Might have been doing it wrong though as ive never really used decals.

Fixed the sideshow chainsaw using the body, muffler, bar and chain and cuff I had lying around, had to make the handles myself and the plates connecting from the cuff to the chainsaw. T.bowen did the base colors and I did everything else. Its about as accurate as I can get to the raised top used in the cabin at the end.

Just went a little Ash crazy and bought a bunch of figures, clothes and heads to customize about 7 different versions. Hopefully I'll keep the fire going and not drop the ball and never finish a single one. Bought the pair of original Sideshow AOD Ash and Evil Ash to completely redo, got 3 heads from Rocco (reg Ash, possessed Ash and old Ash), have an old Beto possessed Ash head, and have another version of AOD Ash with armor to completely customize.

I'm making this post so it will hopefully get me off my ass for you guys to hassle me to finish and post images.
