Is this the same Rankin as the partnership of Rankin and Bass, who did all those fantastic animated feature-length movies around the seventies and eighties. Wind in the willows for example?

I am so confused as to why this is coming back up now and circulating everywhere after nearly a year? So weird. But, RIP.

Yeah, I don't think it's a bad thing as it seems to have gotten overlooked. Just interesting it came back up.

Regardless of the timing of this re-announcement :lol I will watch the animated Hobbit in his honor tonight. :frodo

Awesome. My favorite was always The Last Unicorn.

It is.

I'm glad to have it fresh in my mind as Christmas season starts. Rudolf is my earliest memory of watching a feature length presentation.
