Jeri Ryan (Sonya in the trailer) reveals the truth behind the trailer:

"Okay, so... Mortal Kombat," she tweets. "It's not a game trailer. Actually was made for the director to sell WB on his vision for a reimagined MK film."

I dont know if im digging the super reality feel of this....I much preferred the fantasy theme the game had when they had powers and all. Whats goro gonna look like...a guy with two michanical arms sticking out of his sides

even in a small trailer..this looks way better then the crap they originally put out.

Also With all the reboots coming out I don't see why WB would pass...Especially i this gets really popular on the net.

I think that looked pretty awesome! The Scorpion bit at the end gave me chills. If the final film has a feel like that then I will definately check it out!

Just noticed theirs an image of what sub-zero looks like near the end while scorpion is looking at the photos. Theirs a really quick flash on the screen....if you pause it fast enough you can see his face. Hes got the mask on and everything...looks pretty cool.
