Re: STAR WARS PROPAGANDA site and my personal gallery.

I don't blame him for pointing it out. I'd wonder about that missing part too if I were him.

Re: STAR WARS PROPAGANDA site and my personal gallery.

Impressive. Most impressive. ;)
I have always been amazed at you guys who can make the armor and weapons of Star Wars. Gino wonderful collection and I just love the lightsabers you have made. Any more from the OT that you plan on making. Obi-Wan's perhaps?

Re: STAR WARS PROPAGANDA site and my personal gallery.

I'd love to do the obi wan, but the actual parts used for the original saber are extremely rare and VERY expensive. Easily over $2000 IF you can ever track them all down.
In fact, I only know of two people who have done so in all of the prop community.

I'm hoping one day I'll be able to make an offer to one of those guys that they just can't pass up. And it surely wouldn't be money, more like a prop trade.

Re: STAR WARS PROPAGANDA site and my personal gallery.

Trust me, Valfar, you're not going to school Gino. :lol

I already schooled you and all your other freak minions in the SS Stormie thread long ago..:lol I thought it was a good "question" for him, to ask why his prop looks like this.

Re: STAR WARS PROPAGANDA site and my personal gallery.

It's cool guys, no offense taken by me at all.

Re: STAR WARS PROPAGANDA site and my personal gallery.

I didn't know that about Obi-Wan's saber Gino. If you don't mind me asking how much did it cost to put together a version of Luke's first saber? And are those materials easily accessible?

Re: STAR WARS PROPAGANDA site and my personal gallery.

Actually yes, fairly easy.
You can use the exact same found parts used on the original props for less than $250.
They can be found on ebay without having to look too hard or for too long.

If you want more info on those found parts, check out the propstory on my luke anh saber section of my gallery.

You're 501st, aren't you?

Re: STAR WARS PROPAGANDA site and my personal gallery.

Welcome Gino.

That Yoda puppet is the closest thing to perfect I've ever seen.

Re: STAR WARS PROPAGANDA site and my personal gallery.

I just want to hang out, drink beer, and watch some Alabama football. In your prop room.

Re: STAR WARS PROPAGANDA site and my personal gallery.

Gino, you just got here? I thought you were on here for a while. Hmm..
What's up, man?

Is that TE armor hehe JK man :) Good stuff Gino. Been waiting for to see these guys. Are the details on the hero helmet hand painted?

Re: STAR WARS PROPAGANDA site and my personal gallery.

Are you kidding? I wouldn't put crap stuff in my display room. :lol

Thanks though.
Yes, everything on the troopers is hand painted just like the originals.

:D Yep just kidding man.

Great stuff man. What color blue did you use for the tube strips.

Vaders look awesome.

Re: STAR WARS PROPAGANDA site and my personal gallery.

Thanks.
It's a custom mix. None of the 'off the shelf' paints are correct.
