I just went through a big move and when I moved over my Darth Vader PF, the foot plug gouged a few small holes when I tried to get it in. I basically tapped the base by accident with the peg.
Fortunately, the cape covers the whole base and you can't see it while it is displayed. However, I decided to dab the marks with acrylic paint to try to fill them in. Unfortunately, I wasn't thinking and I dripped some rubbing alcohol on the base while cleaning off the brush! DUH. So I panicked and used my shirt to rub the area to try to get it off. Well, it left permanent rub marks on it that look like fingerprints that are less glossy than the base.
Does anyone have a clever idea for how I could correct this? Would some kind of acrylic polish fix this? Do I need to give up and re-spray the whole top of the base?
Thanks in advance!
