Two questions about this figure for those who might already have it:

• Does the suit move? When I saw these at SDCC it looks like hard plastic of some kind. Can you bend the arms and legs etc?

• Can the head sculpt be easily switched with another Hot Toys head (for example Marlon Brando or whoever)?

Yes, the suit is made out of an extremely soft rubber for poseability.

Also, I think that these heads can be switched too, just like other HT figs.

Seriously though, Lord...that is an excellent repaint! It definitely fixes the bland-ness of the original.

I used Tamiya --- Wooden Deck Tan spray paint TS-68 for the overall base colour of the whole head sculpt . I usually use this colour as the base of flesh . My approach would be trying to mimic the structure of the object that gives out the colour. In this case, what makes up the face hugger's colour would be a yellowish skin with some brown spots ,bones and vein showing through from under. I applied brown on all the recessed areas and a few places here and there. After it 's been dried , I put on layers of yellow on top. This action is to mount skin on the face hugger over all those internal body parts. You will find the yellow will not be able to cover all the colours underneth , and this is exactly what it should look like . After this I applied white to those knuckles and places where the bones protruding , stretching the skin. Then another thin layer of yellow to softly blend the skin together. Finally a few coats of FUTURE floor wax to seal the face hugger and makes her moist and slimy.
It sounds complicated but once you get the idea, it is quite easy and fun to do.

I will honour all my pre-orders, even this one. As Wanderer said 'accept', and I accepted six months ago, and take responsibility for my actions. So Ironman will be mine. This isn't just about one figure for me, but this has been the straw. I have 5 pre-orders to honour, then I'm done with Hot Toys. I feel kind of liberated. I guess I wont be posting as much, cause I wont have anything to complain about. Then again, how many times can I post 'Hot Toys sucks' before Dave drops a darky on me. Might even buy a car. That would be novel.

Nope. Not taking anything personally. No worries. I just read and reply. The personalities don't come into it. I appreciate peoples having their own views. We are all moulded by different circumstances, events etc and no two peoples and the same. I know I'm cutting off my nose to spite my face but that's okay, no one else has to. Though numbers speak louder than posts.

I see Hot Toys getting too much undeserved blind love, check the polls, and I don't think that's at all healthy for collectors. We can make 'em, and we can break 'em. Don't loose sight of that. That'd be my main message in all of this. Now if they loose the goatee we may have a decent porn star to work with.

So far no reply to my trying to cancel my Asian pre-order. Just thought I'd mention that fact, because I don't have the luxury of being able to order through Sideshow, due to the expense. So I'll be looking to exchange the head with Dutch and have an unlikely generic space man. I'll be needing a spare 'N' if anyone has one to custom the name plate to read Kanen, and an 'O' cause I want it to read Konen.

That might be a good idea
Have the Kane figure come with an accurate Arnold head and have the Dutch figure come with an accurate John Hurt head. Make a switch and everyone is happy.....well except for those who don't buy both figures.
