I'm suddenly reminded of a text-book cantilever-beam problem from Solid Mechanics.

L = 12 inches
w = ? lbs
x = 4 inches (estimated), because some of the length will stretch into the "wall".

As soon as I figure out the weight, I'll devise a detailed shear and bending moment analysis. Does anyone know the value of Young's Modulus (E) for human flesh (preferably in English units)? :horror :panic:
