They released one version before the Movie, the Specialist version. They then follow up with the "Normal" and "Deluxe" months later for a total of 3 versions (correct me if I am wrong with the dates). Some of the people who bought the Specialist were mad because they would have gotten the deluxe if it was presented at the first place. The Specialist and Normal were different enough so I was fine as I got 1 each and I never wanted the Deluxe.

Unacceptable? You are saying it like the people who complained about it could actually do something to hot toys. Hot Toys will do whatever they feel like doing regardless.

I was really surprised they didn't do a deluxe release w/ the extra weapons that the Hasbro Black Series SDCC one had. Kind of dumb to do the exact same release.

Depends how you look at it. If Hot Toys does this regularly, that will promote buyers to wait for a potential future version and not order what's out there. Now that your POs are low for the initial version, do you go ahead with a Deluxe?

They can do. They may choose not buying the second release or may choose waiting to see if there will be a deluxe edition or not.
Specifically, I did not buy Sith Ani and probably wait for the movie before buying this figure.

That mouth area on the jet trooper still looks terrible imo.

Interesting that Kenner also release an OT X-Wing Luke. Perhaps my suggestion that toy companies buy material and decide to make similar figures at the same time. eg X-Wing Poe + X-Wing Luke = Orange paint bought in bulk.

Perhaps same applies to orange material and grey strap material etc for Hot Toys.....

I'm calling an X-Wing Luke or Snow Speeder Luke next year at SDCC

Don't care if it's Poe or Luke first, I just want to see what a HT X-Wing pilot figure looks like.

Also, wouldn't a 'Sith' trooper just be regular Stormtroopers?
