So is this not going out for sale like DS Anakin last year? Ani was up for pre-order pretty fast last year. Or do you think they’ll just wait and do the “regular” release? I don’t even know if I want it yet lol, I just like to know I have the option if that makes sense. Especially after seeing eBay prices for it. FOMO I guess, although again, I’m not sure I’d be sad if I miss out completely. This figure intrigues me, but I don’t know how much yet.

This wasn't part of the "Toy Fair" exclusives that they listed. I really think it was just for SDCC, that's actually printed on the box as opposed to other exclusives that I know of. I'm sure there'll be another version down the line, but not this exact release if I had to bet.
I think that there is no way hot toys will leave the money behind. I think that this figure will either release on sideshow soon, or another release will come with additional accessories later on.
Yeah I think it's almost certain we'll see this or a slightly different version released with the other TROS figures. Probably the "Squad Leader Sith Trooper Specialist Deluxe" or something.
A slightly different version would be great because at least it would mean a this trooper would stay up in price. A nice change for the sequel star wars.

Opened mine, it's a darker red in person than the Praetorians and Royal Guards. Will try to post a pic up later. I'll say articulation is still not as good as the Imperial Stormtroopers.

The “Advance Release” title is different than a con exclusive and makes me think this guy will 100% go up for a wider PO.

That wouldn't matter. The box would just go back into the shipper box and into storage. Few people actually display the figures with the box.

To be honest, the normal black box looks just as good. The red on black is really nice

I really like the weapons on this guy. The other first order weapons are a little plain.
