Yep already have the first HT, and gonna need two of these. He is needed for so many other figures and present in so many great scenes.

Glad i waited for this version...there's no beating that lovely shiny metal dome...

Hmm, the dome seems way too dark in some shots, and the overall weathering way too heavy in others, compared to the proto. And is that really as far as the periscope extends? Was hoping it could at least go higher than the SS one.

Still though, this R2 does look to be much higher quality than the SS and with much better proportions, so should hopefully work well in hand.

Looks great. I was holding off to see its size -- which is still difficult to gauge -- but he looks so darn good that I think I'll take the risk that he's not too short.


Its dizzying to think about placing all these 'arms'...

Finally pulled the trigger on this. AE has 5 left. I figure a lot of people are doing what I was doing -- waiting to see how tall R2 was before ordering.

Don't want to miss this... in case HT ever does do their own Deluxe 3PO.
