What? :lol I'm betting 100% it's the exact same mold and height as the Mark 3 DC. I see zero difference.

Every single panel line, detail (besides the revits) line up the same. Only difference is they realized that people hated the swap out abs so they just engineered it to have a small joint for it to spin.

They still didn't even bother giving it proper ankle articulation.

Well if it is...I will be deeply disappointed.
Can't complete my HoA with the original 7.......

It's essentially the same mk3 with studded panels and articulated abs section. HT wouldn't invest and re-engineer a new mk2/3 suit for a final run. But I Guess it's fine as mk1,2,3 are first armors in iron man storyline. No biggie if the die casts are shorter as new mk4,5,6 and future suits become bigger due to advancement in stark tech. Not losing sleep over that

I'm just hoping for a DC Mark IV and Mark VII. I keep hearing people say that a Mark I DC would be great but I do have to say that the Mark I 2.0 is top notch. Still, I would gladly change my 2.0 for a DC version. I'm gonna start letting my Mark II, IV and VII go because the DC's version are coming for sure!!!!!!!

They've all got to be coming.

I agree regarding the Mk1 2.0. Fantastic looking figure. I just want a diecast one because I wasn't into HT when it released. Plus it'd be nice to have it in scale (hopefully) with the Mk5/6. Finish it off with a new headsculpt, as they keep getting better and better, and you'd have the perfect version of the armor that started it all.

Went ahead and PO'd this figure. It'll take time, but my biggest regret regarding getting into HT late is missing out on a HoA. This diecast line has renewed that chance, so despite the possible flaws in the armors, I don't wanna miss out on the opportunity to own the original 7 this time around.

Be intresting to see how they would do a DC MK1 just because it's open suit with a human body underneath that you can see. There would be very little improved articulation because of that body. Most of the DC figures are still mostly plastic with (as HT likes to say) some DC material and i think it would be more obvious what is and isn't DC on that suit. Obviously the paint and HS would be improved but besides that :dunno

Totally agree with you. I don't think they will visit the mark I but you never know with HT

I agree as well but like we are all saying, you never know. Honestly it doesn't seem like the Mk. I would even benefit from Diecast material and/or another design change. In the films, it's clearly shorter than the others, so height isn't an issue. The 2.0 look like scrap metal and the only real improvement would be headsculpt but RDJ looked very different 10 years ago.

I just wish they'd Chrome out this Mk. II as I'm really getting sick of the non-reflective silvers and golds they use.

There doesn't need to be a "benefit" from a diecast release, the benefit is them calling it DIECAST and selling something they've already sold in the past again for $350, both to seasoned collectors who none the less still want "Malibu Stacy: Now with HAT!" and also to the thousands of people new to Hot Toys since the last one was available at retail. They will absolutely sell a new Mark 1 in the future. And 4. And 7.

Yeah you're probably correct about a Diecast Mk. I Honestly, I see them doing Mk. VII Diecast last because of the whole HPP molds (but Disco's panties might actually be a clue that it will come sooner rather than last).

Honestly, I just really hope they rerelease the HoA 7 pack. Sure they'll charge $150 each if they do it but I never bought them and now I need 50+ :slap

I agree. I just wondering how they would do it and after looking at mine the body is covered up. So they could make a body that has drop down legs, extendable shoulders, etc, put diecast material in the legs to add weight and it could all be hidden under the clothing. Put some DC on some places on the outside, new paint, new HS and charge $399 and release it in Q1 2020.

$199 each because it will have diecast in it and new and improved stickers :lol

I missed on the HOA too and I can't afford to spend now 1700+ on one. I hope they revisit that one too

Yeah, I can't wait for the 4 and 7. I'm actually selling my 4 and 7 on eBay so I don't take a big loss once the new ones come out.

I'm very happy with my mark I 2.0. Unless they come out with bigger changes I will probably keep mine. The problem with HT remaking this figures is that it kills the value of previous figures. Hopefully, they won't revisit the Gunmetal. If they do, I'm probabaly gonna sell my entire collection LOL...... I currently have my gunmetal, mark III, red snapper and mark IV secret project signed by stan lee

I am not a huge IM fan/ collector but This is one of my favorite suits. I have the civil war version, and Mark VI diecast is on order and now this one!!!!!

so all they have to do is fill all the rivet holes in 100,000 separate parts(across an entire figure run) to turn the MKII into the MKIII. Nope. The MKII with rivets shares virtually no parts with the MKIII regardless of how similar it LOOKS.

I'm sure Mox will be along to explain how Hot Toys can re-use the same molds because of the master family mold system gobbily gook

Just like he still claims the Mark 3 Construction Dio was cast from the same molds as the regular Mark 3, even though just about every part is broken down differently, the attach points are contrasted completely different, the pin panels that are glued over fasteners are different and the entire electronics package is different but the parts are still cast from the same molds.
