I like the idea about a BD version... the Mk42 was mostly beat up in the film, so I think it's cool. But it should've come as alternate parts with the original Mk42, much like how they did Mk6. Also, I'm not seeing much extra damage in the teaser?

The quote makes me think of a variant with the suit opened up completely. I don't think the image is Photoshopped. But I'll be pleasantly surprised to see it at SDCC. Fingers crossed, because it's a rad idea.

That's exact same level of BD that comes with the original. This just seems like a bonus accessory that will be thrown with the figure for their convention.

There's no BD on the torso or the legs its the same Mark 42. I am with Jive ass turkey here. Me thinks it is display or accessories pack to steal $75 more dollars.

The battle damaged it's the same as the MMS197 Diecast ( Chest and forearm pieces)

For Hot Toys this is easy, easy money. Flipper will buy to speculate. Collectors will buuy for fear of having to pay high prices in the secondary. Unless there's something truly spectacular about this release other than some cracked armor and a battery, I'm not planning to fall into that trap. I do wonder what kind of net revenue HT pulls in on these types of releases. I think if anyone else were in their place they'd be doing the exact same thing.
