Hey Guys,
I've been spending quite a while at the customs section for the past few months and I've been inspired to give it a go. I've drawn inspiration in particular from Doug (Zebraten) and Zsaszsays. Doug has been very kind to share his ideas and tips with me, and I owe it all to him for reaching this far. Considering I've never used a paintbrush in my life and haven't had any experience woodworking or customizing, I think I've done a decent job. Thanks a bunch Doug.
Here's a glimpse of what I've been working on. I had a spare HT Indiana Jones base lying around and decide to put it to some better use. I started off by drawing the template on a paper. I went ahead and got some wooden planks, cut them to the measurements of the template and voila. Some WIPs
Mounted on the stand:
The base of the wood has been sanded and the sides as well. I wanted the wood to maintain the natural texture on the face and thus left it that way. I think the raw look adds a lot of character to the base.
Comments welcome.
