Yes, heel bite typically occurs from the pants being slightly to long, when you wear them they’ll get stuck behind/under your shoes and will rip off and deteriorate after awhile. Not sure how that works with the spurs but one can assume he’s probably had those pants awhile.

Here’s how it looks, but can vary in severity depending on the length and whatnot.

Thanks for clearing that up. And growing up in the '80s and '90s, baggy pants were what I wore. I think all my pants ended up having that heel bite

The way the pants look from the game, they look like there's a piece cut out of the bottom of the pants to go around the spur.
