Ecto 1 not getting unveiled till October now guys.

Is there a show somewhere they plan to unveil, or is this simply the time frame they expect it to be ready to unveil? Regardless, I'm okay with that...buys me time to get some cash saved up after buying the team. Any updates on a PO date for the figures?

Wouldn't be surprised if these possibly go up for PO around Halloween as well.

The NY Show is in early October so likely where it will debut, then a Halloween PO?

I wish Ecto 1 had seen some action in the movie - it's really more a backdrop - but having the four guys leaning against it on the shelf would be pretty sweet.

Very worried about the price.

i don't think ecto 1 is just a backdrop in ghosbusters. Saying that it would have to be static in the scenes in which its in which it isn't. In fact its the focus of the action in the sedgewick hotel scene and the scene at the end of the movie when they are getting a police/army escort to dana's apartment..

Really curious how the ECTO-1 will turn out. Making a 1/6 vehicle is a totally different story than making 1/6 figures. Not saying that making figures is easy, just different. For this relatively large scale it needs quite an attention to detail and accurate fitting to not make it look toyish which means lots and lots of work in the construction.

Was positively surprised by Blitzway's announcement, if the delay means more time going into the result to bring the ECTO-1 to the level of their figures I think it will be hard to resist.

i don't think ecto 1 is just a backdrop in ghosbusters. Saying that it would have to be static in the scenes in which its in which it isn't. In fact its the focus of the action in the sedgewick hotel scene and the scene at the end of the movie when they are getting a police/army escort to dana's apartment..

What I mean is more scenes with them in Ecto-1 and using its gizmos as tools (like if the proton packs hoovered the ghosts into Ecto-1 and it transported them like a prison wagon) the way Batman uses the batmobile. It's just occasionally used as transport but more as a visual gag in GB-1.

I had no issue with the was Ecto 1 was used in Ghostbusters.

To me, it's really nothing more than just the vehicle that transports them to calls. Using all the gizmos on it would make it more like a fire engine to me. Would be interesting though to perhaps see Ecto 1 have a deck gun on the top, similar to how fire engines and trucks do, that emits a proton stream.

Yeah, that's what I mean. Love that game. Some iconic stuff happened inside/on the DeLorean in BTTF (the time settings screen and the Mr. Fusion are iconic, important story stuff occurred inside and right outside it, the only way he can get back to 1985 etc.) but ECTO-1 is more just a car you see pull up outside buildings that looks/sounds funny.
