So, I guess mine wasn't the only one that arrived with the worst case of plumber's crack ever seen in 1:6 scale? What a shock when I took him out and it was all hanging out! :horror
As we've all compared notes, that's just how they all look right out of the box. Too early to say if there's a connection to that cosmetic flaw inherent in all of them and the deterioration. Likely, just more apathy on the part of Hot Toys as to quality control.
That seems to be the norm. Mine and everyone else's without cracks so far look just like yours. But what awaits us in a couple months?
As consumers, do we return them in disgust to show HT they can't get away with it or as collectors make do with the only choice available to us?
Only reassuring in that if they all look like that, then there is no reason to exchange it simply for that flaw (case closed, move on). But now we have the looming threat once again of deterioration.
This is outrageous! I just opened mine but I'm already a couple weeks into my return policy. I was already worried about the rubber used when this thread ignited today. Even out of the box, the edges are a bit warped and you can see that they did spray some kind of sealant on it. I was here...
Yeah, sporadically. I don't have an account, but I eventually end up there looking for info regarding the problems of this piece. Like another member stated earlier: I will NEVER pre-pay again. The reputable places like BBTS, Sideshow, AlterEgo, etc. don't take full pre-orders and both times...
After nearly year and a half waiting for this thing, I finally receive it. Now, I've been trying for 2 weeks to contact Toyfreakz for a replacement.
First, one of the panels that reveal the face wouldn't open but halfway. After trying at least a hundred times, with no response from Toyfreakz...
How is this different than the die-cast release except for the removable visor and damaged shoulder, both of which could have easily been included in the release many of us put a deposit on???
Re: Mazinger Z & Super Robots (Shogun Warriors) - Official thread!!
Oh my God!
https://www.collectiondx.com/news_item/102512/soul_chogokin_danguard_ace
I hope this is true. I want the three robots that were packaged as Marvel's Shogun Warriors, but Yamato's Danguard Ace is way bigger than...
If that's what he's gotta do, then he better get in that gym...
or Karl Urban it is!
I'm sure that Kojima will get involved. He tends to keep control over these kinds of things more so than other producers. In either case, I'm sure he'll retain some final say and it will have to be a...
Ok. Seriously, why would you cast anyone else but Hayter?
(Possibly he is a better voice actor than film actor, but he IS Snake.)
And Karl Urban is great, but just kinda looks like so much like Hayter, anyway...
Don't be a hater, vote for Hayter!
I don't know how I missed the original announcement. Overall, looks like some of SSC's best work in 1:6. I really hope they spread out the release dates or I am in soooooo much trouble.
I thought Hot Toys would do these and they already announced the Arkham City Batman. Is this a co-production?
Re: Mazinger Z & Super Robots (Shogun Warriors) - Official thread!!
Yeah. Just saw that, too! That's way below Bandai's quoted price (still a huge chunk of change, though)
BBTS is awesome! So glad they're getting this and hope they make good on the price.
Man, that's all I was ever suggesting in the FIRST place! Why do things get so hostile on here? That's really cool of her! The CS reps are actually really awesome. They've always been the best.
I was merely reiterating what the OP said exactly, but if I stated my opinion too strongly as if it were first-hand knowledgeable fact, I apologize for the lack of humility in my earlier post.
But just as my comments were taken strongly, I took hers very strongly. That may be the pitfall of...
