I did a little more research and Paul’s gloves are different in his P2 look ;) lol

I’ve been very invested in this IP now, just watched Dune ‘84 and prefer DV’s Dune by far. Safe to say I’m a fan now! If they offer another character, I seriously hope it’s Chani.
Yea, if I were to go into this line, I would want an InArt Chani as well. They don't have to worry about exposed limbs either so no real innovation there like they would for someone like Wonder Woman.

I intended to get this figure until I saw this photo and realised I really would prefer a Dune Part Two figure, so I guess I'll wait for nothing.

I feel that. My thought process was that if a Part Two Paul ever materializes, I'll just sell the Part One figure to fund the new purchase. I expect that'll be a popular move, so I'm not necessarily expecting to get my money back, but the option is always there!

That's a really smart marketing move to boost preorder for Paul, since some (or many) of the collectors (including me) were hesitating.

When, or IF they will make it, it's another question. They will "take our feedbacks into consideration"....

No option for Baron Harkonnen or Lisan Al-Gaib Paul- most likely because he's already guarenteed to come (many years down the line.)
The result of this poll was always a foregone conclusion. Feyd will win, followed by Chani.
Who the hell is Shishakli?

Aug Toys have also been concerningly quiet throughout the whole season of Dune 2 fever. I hope they don't drop off the face of the Earth and manage to throw out fome more cool supporting characters.

Chani is winning and you have more people in the comment section asking for her. 😏

But still, none of this makes sense, if they don’t make a Part 2 Paul. The choice for Chani is contingent on that.

My vote would go to a Beast Rabban figure, but they didn't list him. He would make a really cool, imposing figure. I wonder if the Dave Bautista likeness rights are an issue as they were rumored to be with the Hot Toys Drax figures.

I'd be keen on a Lady Jessica figure more than anything else. She was too important and pivotal of a character to ignore. The question is which of her many looks would they go for? Whatever the choice, it could make for a dazzling figure... but I'm a fan of costuming and Jessica had the some of best in Dune Part Two.

It would be something of a new challenge for InArt to attempt a true artisan female character, since they haven't done that yet in 1:6 scale. Not an easy task when most female figures come with unique challenges in sculpt and body that aren't faced with male characters. Just look at the poll list, despite the lack of voting interest, it's clear that Dune Part Two offers some fine choices for female character figures. Irulan and Margot were always stunning in the film, but clearly collectors aren't interested in those.

I do know I wouldn't want another character in a Stillsuit. Unless you have a full and fairly extensive line of Dune figures, one character in a Stillsuit is enough to get an idea of how that costume is replicated in 1:6 scale. At InArt's price point it isn't a very attractive option to have more of the same. I'd only make the exception for Chani because of her importance in the film and because it would be a unique body and suit from Paul (and potentially other male characters).

Keeping in mind InArt would have to make another appropriately designed Paul in Stillsuit to usher in the Dune Part Two license before adding more character figures to the list. It would be a great figure, better than the one they've already solicited, but the cost of effectively double-dipping for another Paul would be frustrating and lead to some hard choices about following InArt's Dune collection.

A Harkonnen figure, any Harkonnen really, would be a welcome idea. I think Rabban is far more interesting in build and costume than Feyd. I can't help but imagine how oddly neat a high end 1:6 Baron Harkonnen figure would be.

I think INART and a major chunk of the community also take into account the character itself. It’s not always about what would make for a “better” and “cooler” figure.

Chani is the one they should prioritize. But at the rate InArt releases figures, we won't get Chani or Feyd until Messiah releases. I kind of wish Hot Toys would tackle the Dune license so we could actually get a line of figures.

#1. Chani—Male/Female leads display. (Should also include a deluxe long hair dream version from the first movie)
#2. Feyd—Hero/Villain display. Cool armor and a cape. (But then I’d want to have a Harkonnen display—Baron, Feyd, Rabban)
#3. Jessica Atreides—(but which look? Lady, Stillsuit, Bene Gesserit, Reverend Mother?)

I do think that these are the only three that make sense as $400-$500 InArt figures. And only the Reverend Mother version of Jessica. Aug Toys and/or 3rd parties should be able to handle everyone else.

That’s the problem with reading too much into voting results. I would pay $450-$500 for Chani (up to $650 for a Deluxe dream version). I’d pay $400-$450 for Feyd (assuming it would be a little less since the character is bald. He would also need to be an appreciable upgrade over a $300 Aug Toys). Reverend Mother Jessica would have to be something incredible and come with her carrier for me to justify up to $450.

After that, I’d only spend $250-$300 for Lady Jessica as a companion piece to Duke Leto (assuming I were to pick him up). $250-$300 for Duncan, Rabban, Stilgar, Gurney, Piter, Emperor, Irulan, Lady Fenring, etc. Even given the Baron’s size I’d want him to max out at $350. $200-$250 for generic Sardaukar, Harkonnen, Atreides, and Fremen fighters.

Sure there are super fans who will pay $400-$500+ for every Dune character, but I think the majority of collectors will want to stay in the $250-$300 range.
