What the hell, so what Gundamit is basically saying is "Sell your broken toy to others, if nobody buys it, you're screwed"?! And if they ignored the buyer's request to add extra protection and to properly pack it, why isn't it suddenly Gundamit's responsibility when it arrived broken? Who's gonna buy a broken bike or set for full price? How much will they refund you if they sold it for a lower price than it was originally? That sounds like a crappy refund system.

I used to view Gundamit as one of the best places to buy stuff from, I always recommended their shop to others when buying little toys like those Snail Shell stuff, but if that's how their refund policy is especially when they ignored the request to properly pack it, they just lost positive points from me. I'll always have to tell others "You'll get your order, but you might be screwed if they packed it badly and it arrived damaged as a result".

These toy stores should adopt the "Collector's Packaging" or "Special Shipping Protection" service that Big Bad Toy Store offers even if the customer has to pay more for extra packing material. It seems that in the 1/6 scale and bigger types of collectibles (like statues!), it's common for them to get wrecked while in transit due to lacking protection. Smaller scale toys (1/12) usually can escape destruction because it doesn't take much material to protect them and they are probably going to be placed near smaller and lighter packages as well, but the bigger an item is, the more protection it will require as it could be placed near bigger and heavier objects during transit. If I was buying something large from another country and I know there's a risk something inside could break, I would definitely purchase this kind of special shipping protection service so as to not deal with crappy refund policies like what Gundamnit (or GunDAMNit) has right now.

You will not get a replacement, they will offer to sell it within your country after you supply pics and description of the damage.

They hope it will sell within 2 weeks, if not then they will issue a refund. My bike arrived damaged just like yours.

All my other pre-orders from GDI have been perfect, except for this release. All future GT release I will go via OSK. Yes he maybe a bit more expensive, but I know his service is top notch and he double boxes etc.

I’ve ordered 3 different deluxe editions from GDI and all have had severe QC issues, the last one was the final straw when I made it clear to them to double box and not just use a shipper bag. They still sent it separately in a shipper bag, cut up the original shipper box to fit the bike, and it just arrived all beat up and damaged. It really was a recipe for disaster shipping it all separately and then having the bike sent back twice before receiving it.
That's ridiculous. That's the type of response I'd expect from ToysWonderland. Very disappointed in GDI and sad to see Fenrir in such a way. I'm definitely a fan of OSK for this exact reason. I still remember receiving GT Zack and the box condition was perfect. I couldn't believe it was shipped overseas, it was like the pilot himself held it in his lap til it got to my house 🤣

I’ve ordered many things from them and they always assisted with my QC issues without any issues and things have always been double boxed and packaged well, however it’s just with this particular release it’s been atrocious and GT are difficult with getting replacement parts unless you supply a video like a YouTuber showing your unboxing.

Is it because the box is too big and too much effort to double box? Did they bite of more than they can chew? Who knows, one thing for sure, I’ll avoid buying an 1/6 figure if it will come in a large box from them in future, having said that, I have a PO for Tifa with them still, but my Noctis is with OSK.

For reference, this was my original message sent to them prior to my purchased for the deluxe set which I thought they acknowledged, but in fact they didn’t at all.

I will give them a couple more weeks and will then demand my refund as I’ve been more than patient with them.

Has anyone got their Fnc orders in? They have a really bad after service rep so I'm worried for those who ordered there

This is the current 2.0 version. They didn't change anything about the face after this.
The purple dress picture is the same face sculpt, but hair is dressed differently, different camera angle, lens, lighting etc.

The more I look at the two pictures, the more I tend to agree. Also, the eyes seem to be looking in a different direction.

I think putting product in the hair as well as angling the face makes a huge difference, not to mention the lighting. I still the think the second one looks great, just not a good comparison to the first picture. SGD should take special care to control the messaging with update pictures. This community can go wild with speculation based on limited information. Plus, Tifa is an especially loved character that will bring pitch forks and torches if not handled carefully, lol.

I stumbled upon the youtube channel of the English voice actress for Aerith named Briana White and I noticed she seems to have what looks like GameToys Cloud and a bunch of Aerith toys! So nice!

Anyway here's her channel for anyone interested.

Uh oh! this is my cue to thread carefully and avoid checking youtube for stuff. its annoying when some random channels use spoiler thumbnails in their vids w/o anyone asking :ROFLMAO:

Just before a game drops I usually mark all related content as not interested (sorry creators) but I have been burned before by those clickbait spoiler thumbnails 🪦

Do I blackout this forum to prevent spoilers?

I doubt this place will talk about spoilers without at least a warning and a spoiler text.

Reddit and various other places will, for sure. I already some stuff about it, but with no visual confirmation, taking a lot with a grain of salt. But no doubt by the end of this week, the whole plot will be online.
