Oh yeah the actual head is the same for sure, I mean I think the sculpted hair frames the face better.Sculpt is the same.
The only difference is different lighnting on both photo

Even if your assumption is currently correct, it won’t hold out for long. Given that InArt is the 1/6 figure arm for Queen Studios, any successful sculpt might be used with some minor adjustments for any statues that they also hold the license for.
And I’ve always thought Queen Studios 1/4 scale sculpt of Tom Holland was near to perfect. Though that was fully sculpted, with no rooted hair option.
I know that they’re essentially the same company, but I wonder if the sculptors move between departments?

Weirdly, one of the things I'm most impressed with here (and I'm SUPER impressed with the whole thing) is the sculpt work on the hair. (Even though I ordered the rooted version.) So many companies treat the hair sculpting as kind of an afterthought. But badly sculpted hair can totally ruin a anotherwise good face sculpt. (I'm actually thinking of Asmus' very first Aragorn. The sculpt work on the hair just wrecked an underrated likeness.) It's so good here that I was seriously torn between which version to order.
If the production figure is half as amazing as this looks, it will be well worth the price.

Couldn't agree more. I don't like rooted hair on my figures as a matter of preference so I'm going with sculpted. Which is nice, because I save a few bucks, but also I can't believe how good the sculpted hair looks in these photos. Just...wow.
The hyperbolic accolades are truly deserved. This has to be the best all-around 1/6 figure (to be) released yet.
I ordered the premium through Kit (of course) but I too am seriously considering ordering the regular version. It looks just as amazing.

Whelp, time to upgrade from my Sideshow. Premium looks great but I went fir standard via Kit.

It might only hold out until the next InArt release. That's how good they are. I can't wait to see what they can do with Legolas and Daenerys.

The pictures vs description are weird for the two versions. Have they confirmed anywhere that the standard comes with a bow and quiver, despite not being listed in the text? Edit: they're shown in all the promo shots, so my assumption is it's just an inadvertent omission from the accessories list. Especially since they list "bow holding hands" and no bow XD

Not sure if I like how many accessories they hold back on the standard edition to get you to buy the premium edition. The price difference isn't that great but still.

As far as I'm concerned any minute difference anyone could possibly find in the face sculpt is simply due to expression, and not due to likeness discrepancies. If not for the sculpted beard, I doubt his own mother would be able to tell the difference.

Shards of Narsil not coming with the standard is a bummer, but that’s not worth an extra $150 to me. Still incredibly excited about this.
I just really wish they’d confirm if they’re going all-in on the fellowship at this point. Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas and nobody else would just feel weird.

Same question was asked multiple times in multiple forums regarding Batman cape and I don’t know that I’ve seen an official statement on it from INART. They have stuck with the “premium materials” description
