Wow, what a difference. I never got this piece as I always though the expression looked pretty lifeless, and the pose was a bit stiff; but he looks alive with the changes you have made. I would certainly buy this. Great work!
I went with the Snow Wolf airsoft Pulse Rifle . I was going to get the HCG, but the Snow Wolf is cheaper, functioning and is made of materials (abs + metal) that produce cleaner lines.

Agreed, in regards to paint finish; from what we can see. Not the standout I was hoping it would be, but definitely ok. I won't be rushing out to secure one currently, but will at least follow with interest.
Looks more like a textured brownish boot that's been drybrushed white to me. I would have expect a smooth white boot with weathering\mud effect on it to be accurate, looking at a few stills from the movie. I think the 1/6 Hot Toys, or any of the sideshows looks more accurate in terms of boot...
My excitement lessened a little when I noticed the scout isn't riding the speeder. The white paint effect on the boots seems a bit unusual, or is it accurate and I'm off?
Seriously considering this. How does the final product tend to compare to the proto? The only thing I'm not too keen on is the feet being inlaid into the plexi. tbf I would also prefer a mud\grass base.
