Yup agreed. He seemed to be a little too short in some earlier pics, but next to some other figures and with some great futzing the height and proportions look pretty decent now (or at least a lot easier to live with). And Chakaman has the hood looking perfect as well.

Lots of early pica were not futzed at all....its clear as time goes on an people take their time with the hood and pose , that alot of the issues are correctable.

Seems to be the way with the “get a pic up in a hurry” posts......not enough time spent getting them right.

Might just have guaranteed arrivals ESB Vader & Han in Carbonite sent. Can still be Sithmas with ‘ol Vader under the tree.

Hands are a tad oversized and the eyes look more brown than yellow (based on pics and others who have in hand - I don't have mine yet)

Rather than coming in randomly and asking others for a summary of all that's good or bad with a figure, or what's the issue with the hands.

Love the display!

I am noticing that Palps's head does seem a bit small compared to Luke Jedi and Tarkin. He almost seems vertically shrunk a bit - like his mouth is closer to his eyes than the other figs. Maybe it's the smile. Will have to get him next to my Luke and Tarkins to compare.

Well he did get fried with force lighting....

I was very down on this figure initially, but I’ve warmed up a lot. I found a nice hood futz and I use the figure stand to combat the high chair. Looks great in the darker area of my collection room. Overall a B/B+. He loses points for 3 things. No Sith eyes, perverted smile, high chair throne.
The throne is a great piece by itself. If palpatine ever gets discounted, I would pick up an extra figure to stand with the royal guards.

Emperor finally arrived today. I have no idea what people are talking about with the big hands or no Sith eyes thing.

If you shine a light on his face past the brow of doom his eyes are very clearly unmistakenly sith yellow with red veins like Sith Anakin. In no way are they brown.

His hands are large of you have tiny Trump hands in real life to compare with I guess?

Very minimalist figure, but done so well. I actually prefer the subtle grin sculpt, Palpatine was no mere growling troll, he was the ultimate schemer and trickster behind the scenes, expression captures the character perfectly. That said a second more serious sculpt should been included in such a bare bones release.

I'm surprised how well the force lightning works, I was expecting it to be silly but it somehow works.

Having him in hand I can finally understand what Lucas meant when he said to McDiarmid he had a good nose!
