^ I love that paint work, but visually, Thrashin Rex is my least favorite, I don’t like how the seam for his body articulation faces forward, would have looked nicer if it faced towards the back, but I’m sure this is what was needed to make it work.

Yeah for their size they're not bad at all. Which T-Rex is to scale with these guys?

Either the Extreme Chompin or Thrashin Rex, definitely not Colossal.

All you need is a cream and brown base and wash the skin with related colors. Then you add skin tone highlights with a sponge or fine brush. I'm sure pro-design could mock these up easily. Dude can customize anything.

That's how mine would turn out.

Looks to be some airbrushing too, if I'm not mistaken. Either that or the paint in those areas was heavily diluted for that soft look.

Testers acrylics would make that effect too. I used to repaint figures. Airbrushing makes these look awesome.

Mattel seems to be going pretty all out with the license right out the gate, quite shocking but exciting, just hoping they're not limited. So there are two versions of the multi-dino sets apparently, based on their contents, I want the grant one with the more accurate dilophosaurus and both raptor sculpts, but the second has a more accurately painted raptor, but I'm also leaning towards repainting all the figures. Part of me wants to get the best factory painted ones so that I can enjoy them until I get around to doing my own paint work though.

I didn't even know there was a second pack until now. It's great to see more naturalistic paint schemes on the dinosaurs. While I'm bothered that the Dilo in that pack is grayscale even on the frill, the overall appearance is great. Evokes the feel of the dinosaur in that scene despite being technically inaccurate. Will keep an eye out for the set.

EDIT: Just noticed the Raptors in these sets (at least the grey and brown one) have painted teeth. Already an improvement over the TLW Raptor from Legacy.

EDIT: Found this photo on Facebook which shows the Dilo with some blues.

......I was so excited for the new colossal T-Rex I accidently ordered the old 'chompin' T-Rex on Amazon. Still, I made a pretty sweet short vid about it:

Okay with Mattel Line just days away from release, I made Jurassic Tradepost group. Buy/Sell/Trade from JP fans across the board without threadcapping this thread or the FS section. I know that user policies states that no one can sell quote on quote without premium. However I hope I'm not circumventing the rules because this is actually a rebelscum thing I copied where local people gave heads ups on instock items to trade. So if you're not premium see if trading items works for you better than putting sale up.

Plus I can't say personally what happens when someone may pm another for unlisted sale is between those two parties. So there has to be good reputation and feedback to list in here. It's free to join just know that if anyone rips another off I will make this group private... Also no mark ups please, fair market value... I hate scalpers...

I saw a bunch of these figures at Target today. Didn't try to buy any.

Every store around me is adhering to the launch date.

Walmart near me opens at 6am so I plan to stop on my way to work, then hit Target by work on lunch break.
