Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I've been reading this thread since the beginning, but still haven't actually bought a single figure. I'm strongly considering getting the expression pack, since it gives me many options to customize the various sculpts. I can't find him for less than 56€ shipped though, which is still holding me back somewhat. Does anybody know of a cheaper alternative within Europe?

I was just in Amsterdam.
I went to a store called C.I.A (Comics Import Amsterdam) and they had the expressions pack.
I don't know how much it cost, though.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Thanks, Angel. Including shipping that one is 55€ as well, unfortunately.

Thanks for the tip, I'm heading downtown tomorrow, will have a look.

I went to henk's comics (my regular, where I have my comics on order) last Saturday, they had the pack for 65€.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I found an article talking about the DCC panel at Wondercon. They posted a picture of a solicitation image of the Joker Expressions Pack. It is not the best photo, but....are those 2 joker grenade accessories? I hope so, those would be awesome to have!

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Sweet, thanks for the link!
I wonder if they'd really give us all of those heads? Hopefully they drop that standard heads if they must.
Those grenades are neat and it'll be really great to finally have a gun for The Joker.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

The Standard head works with the machine gun hands to make the Joker bots from "Christmas with the Joker." It's a good gimmick, that I'd like DC Collectibles to keep...unless they start thinking about dropping the bang flag gun and trigger hands, in which case, they better lose the Joker bot pieces instead.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Where are his swap out purple arms and coat/vest?

First thing I'd ditch out of this set is the base stand. It's completely unnecessary and inappropriate for a figure like the Joker. For a character that never really jumped or flew in the air, it's completely useless. If they start looking to cut things out of the set like they did to Batman's cool cape, then that stand should be the first thing that gets scrapped.

Good point.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

So we dont have the standard body?

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I see as of right now it has one more head than the Batman expressions set. Predicting $70 srp :lol

Agree about the stand. Only time Joker was in the air was when he jumped off of something lol

Or when he gets punched/kicked by Batman.

The purple arms are not displayed, but the purple coat can be seen on the pics of the extra heads, suggesting that the idea of the swap-out coat/arms still exists.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

The "dynamic" base/pole is clearly a pattern for the Expressions sub-series, so it will be featured in all following packs.

IMO, it fits Joker. Wouldn't it be great to display him and Batman in a classic battle scene, especially now that not only we will have angry faces for Joker, but also will end up with a second "regular" purple body (to recreat the scenes apart from our regular collection display)? The current base and pole we have would never allow that.

As long as this dynamic base doesn't mean less heads and accessories, I'm all in.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

And: aaaaaaaaaah, we will have hands with pointing forefinger!!!!!

This is something I've always missed in the previous Joker releases.
The classic Joker pose is that in which his right hand has the forefinger pointing out!!!
Even the Hot Toys 89 Joker has that!!

Soooo stoked for it!!!!

That's when he jumped off the building in The Laughing Fish lol. I wonder if that little duck accessory will stay on the figure well

The set needs a couple Joker cards too. Seems like it would be a no-brainer

I don't see a major difference between those two hands at the bottom, and while I can't say for sure without a better picture, I don't think those are pointing. Pretty certain those are trigger hands (or at least one is), which Kevin Kiniry confirmed in my last email from DC Collectibles that the Joker Expressions pack would be coming with so he can hold his guns.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

And I would guess that what you circled and labeled "trigger hands" are actually gripping hands, but I don't want to say what something is definitively in a photo that's out of focus because that would be silly. I'll wait for an official clear photo or until I see this myself in July before I go circling and labeling things like I'm some kind of authority, which absolutely none of us are at this point, unless you were at Wonder Con this morning, in which case: nevermind.
