cant wait to own this and falcon hopefully next month sideshow will ship both

Wow! I think this looks great. I wasn't going to get him but now I'm reconsidering. I may just go with a Winter Soldier/Cap dio to save on space and money (although now that I am saying that, I do love this Falcon).

Thanks for the pics, Phoenixblazes.

Iron Studios needs to tackle Scarlet Witch and Black Widow!

Just to add to the thanks to Phoenix:clap:clap:clap for thoughts and great sharp pics in good lighting. I really appreciate as so few pics and those were prototype anyway.

My most-wanted piece and can see some things I would have done differently (can't help it...details, details) but too new collecting to know, overall, if I should be surprised or not re production pieces (like the glue thing). Thank you for the heads-up re the single post attachment (nice to know it's a long post). Great, balanced comments.

The good part was it looks like WS is pretty close to the proto, like Falcon. I feel relieved (except for the usual potential shipping damage worries and/or production issues *sigh*) Will find out soon enough re having a WS in transit - he's somewhere - maybe over the Pacific - like the film character LOL elusive.

PS. Enjoyed the box pictures - for myself, didn't really have a plan for multiple boxes the size of small fridges:slap so IMO Bucky's smaller box is a good thing. And just sayin' your framed movie posters look great - beautiful set-up.:clap

Thank you, now the pictures work and also for the First impressions.

Same here, iam not a big Fan from Winter solider, but i want to Complete Both Civil war Diorama.

Yeah I myself am getting all six pieces. They're going to look great together, but unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to display them as they were meant to be, due to lack of sufficient display space.

Thanks for the pics, I can see them now. :)

I love the character, otherwise I couldn't imagine spending that kind of money on a statue. However, I do enjoy reading that there are quite a few who're going for the entire diorama. *__* Guys, werr are you even gonna put that?! WS and Cap will take up so much space already. XD

Winter Soldier isn't all that big, and looking at Cap, he just might be the shortest 1/4 piece in my collection when he comes in.

Damn they're looking fine. *__* I almost wanna get Falcon ... if only he was cheaper ... if I saw him for 800, I'd totally get him, I think.

Buck looks great too. I was kinda worried they'd mess up his face in the final product but seems like I can rest assured he's gonna be fine. Now hopefully there won't be any reports on quality issues.

Imo Falcon is the best of the 4 pieces released from this diorama set, and is well worth it. As far as I can see the face looks the same as the proto, however note that the hair is a separate piece which is glued on, so there 'may' be a slight variation on position. And isn't Falcon $800 USD?

He looks great! What his ES?

As mentioned it's only 350. Same as Falcon. Can't believe the edition sizes are so low in this diorama; 400 for War Machine and 470 for Black Panther.

How wide are The two bases together?

I currently (temporarily) have the two statues in two separate rooms. After work I'll see about getting you those dimensions. Do you need depth and heights as well?

Can't wait to hear your thoughts when you upload your video to Youtube.

I'm currently displaying the Gentle Giant with my set. The 1/10 scale Scarlet Witch doesn't look all too bad. Wish that they had just enlarged that piece to 1/4 scale.

Hopefully your piece arrives safe and sound from Popcultcha. I know this is your most anticipated piece and I think you'll be more or less happy when you get him in your collection.

Great pics, congrats!

And to everyone who appreciated the pics, your welcome. It's quite rare that a piece arrives from Popcultcha in Australia before anyone else. If anything we're usually amongst the last to receive a piece.

My local retailer said his wholesaler expects Winter Soldier around mid June ... T_T it's a long wait and hopefully it pays off. I'm praying mine won't have any damages or quality issues coz with this kinda ES, who knows if there will be enough left for replacements. :panic:

Yep, that's always my fear. Even if you're approved for getting a partial replacement, it can sometimes take forever to get it.

Even my piece has a few minor issues. But I'm still happy with it.

Heck Winter Soldier appears to be Popcultcha's smallest stock allotment. I think for Falcon and Black Panther they had in excess of 20 each whereas for this one, it seems to be less then half of that. Maybe the piece isn't too popular.

I'm actually hoping for that so I still have a chance at getting a replacement in June should I be in need of one. I doubt IS cares for replacements for a few customers once all the statues are sold. ;__;

Well, THAT'S not great news if I have an issue:horror. Hope not. Don't know if it's popularity or some uneven distribution. When I was shopping around, Bucky seemed to show up more places - like you can PO him from Midtown Comics NY for around $550 U.S. (pretty good if you are local w. no shipping) but Falcon never was listed there. Or maybe Bucky doesn't look cool enough on the shelf:dunno

But I kept my SSC PO for my fav, so it's gotta work out somehow, right:cool:? And at the moment it seems my first Bucky is someplace in New York OMG!...but BTW for U.S. folks, the PC/Australia Post tracking number also works in the USPS system (when USPS gets info), guess USPS is the Aussie post "shipping partner". At least for my area.

IMO, no - I mean in first talking w. IS during the conversation I was sort of told that the retailer is who to go to, and then let them know if there's a problem - I mean the IS guy was nice, but there was a language barrier etc. They might try to help, maybe, if a retailer won't. But in e-mailing PC I sort of got the impression that for retailers, IS still has some ground to catch up, rightly or wrongly, re Spidey and possibly rumored SSC Falcon. E.g slower sales + price tag anyway$$$$:horror. So maybe these pieces will be around for a bit, if folks are willing to pay shipping and fees. I was kinda hoping for, maybe, getting a deal on another Falcon:monkey3

I've spoken to people from IS before and when I asked them about possible damages they did say I shouldn’t worry and they'd take care of it. But I kinda don't believe that anymore coz whenever they told me to send an email, I got no reply at all. I feel that if I asked them for help regarding a broken piece they'd just ignore me. :dunno

If these things were cheaper, I'd get a second and hope one of them is fine. Sadly, these are just too expensive. :( I mean, Buck is almost 800€ here so eh, nope, one's enough and that better be undamaged. XD

And I thought Popcultcha were selling it at a high enough price. At 800 Euro, in retail terms that's about 12% more than it is here in Australia at 1000 AUD, even including AUS GST (value added tax).

The only piece I've gotten a spare of is the Falcon piece.

Though I've put a second order on the Cap (just in case). Really wanted a second one of him from the AOU line, but the second one came in damaged.

Well that's because of high shipping and import taxes/custom fees. If I were to import it from SS, it would end up being around that price too. Falcon is over 1,000€ at every shop here and sadly, I can't bring myself to spend that much on a statue coz it looks cool and I like the guy. WS and Cap are different but I still try not to think about how much money they'll cost me. *cries herself to sleep*

How wide are The two bases together?

The measurements of the two statues when connected are as follows:- note the measurements have been slighty inflated if at all by approx 5mm.

480mm wide from the widest point on Winter Soldiers base (right foot) to the rubble at the bottom of Falcons base.

Note that the rifle extends a further 40mm from the base, whereas Falcons left arm extends a further 15mm beyond the base

However the wings are the widest points on the diorama extending beyond the left and right sides of the base, as well as a tad wider then Bucky's rifle.

It's 840mm from wing tip to wing tip.

The depth of the base is 290mm when measuring from the back of the two bases when flush, Falcons backpack creates an additional depth of 15mm, the left wing is an additional depth of 190mm, whereas the right wing creates an additional depth of 125mm.

The height of the statue is 775mm (tip of the right wing). Note the lower height to the tip of the left wing is 745mm.

Hope this helps anyone with limited display space.

Wow thank you! That's awesome!

It fits on my besta.

Sassafras, once you get your Buck, could you do me a favour and put him on top of the Hemnes desk add-on? It's where I plan on displaying him and I wanna see if it's deep enough to accommodate him. :)

I've currently got one of my Falcons on top of a Besta, and because of the wings it may be a tight fit. If you have the unit backed up against a wall you may need a couple of inches behind the unit to be clear in order to fit him in.

And there's a chance that Winter Soldiers base may overhang a bit, but I guess you could angle the two in order to fit, as the right wing isn't as deep as it's left.

Though I guess I could put my own Bucky up on my Besta beside Falcon to see how they would look.

I was planning to do that for yah:)! And, at the moment, Falcon's sitting right here on the desk, but no way HE can go on the hutch 'coz the wings angle backward too much. At some point I'll move these figs to their permanent spot but right now just want them near me so I can bask in the glory of them:lol *happiness*. Bucky'll have some desk time too.:monkey3

*Pricey* for sure:crying. Refuse to think about it (denial is always an option:devil). But I actually gasped at my first in-hand look at BP and can't stop staring at Falcon's *perfection* (like the metallic sheen of his boots:love). Crossing my fingers for Bucky who is being held somewhere, apparently, by the CIA on the U.S. east coast...:impatient: (He's MINE, give him to meeeeeee!!!!!!......LOL)

PS. And I know folks are waiting a LOT longer - for statues, for figs:(. Guess IS purchasers in this case are better off tho than some stories I've read where folks waited like 2 years for certain pieces OMG:horror

Edit:
Here yah go! And it's like Bucky was MADE for folks who own a Hemnes desk unit - he's a perfect fit w. maybe 1/2 -3/4" to spare - and this is where one of the Buckys is gonna stay, too!

Actually, the effect of this poly on the desk unit when you're sitting and look up and there's a *gorgeous* Winter Soldier above you is totally AWESOME! :yess:
