Why do Hot Toys only do moulded plastic shoes? I've seen some really nice boots from other companies figures that both looked great and allowed for great articulation by using fake leather for the shoe with standard feet inside them. I guess it's just a cost cutting measure/ the yield might be a lot worse.

Definitely cost cutter using hard molded shoes but I think the extreme detail of the boots makes up for the use of softer material. Like I said all HT had to do is put her on a TT with the socketed legs that attach to the holes in the boots to allow ankle pivot :lecture

I'd switch h the bodies easily but I will never have a spare body that has the the most accuracy and detail shading on her shin to boots connection like HT did

I posted this a while back but here is your standard female TT used with the same peg used for Rey

Here is the Rey

Thanks guys!

Kazar, do you know what your order date was? I swear I ordered this on the first day. I think I'm done with SS for pre-orders!

I ordered from a local store here. They deal directly with Hot Toys so they get their figures a bit early sometimes.

No idea why it takes SS so long.

Seems like the single figures are arriving before the two pack. Maybe there was a slight hold up with the BB-8 production and HT is sending them separately.

It's a bit odd though as I believe both versions were released simultaneously in Hong Kong.

Kazar got the two pack though :dunno
True, but he is in Canada and got it from a local shop who got it direct from HT. It's really anyone's guess why the two pack is coming behind the single.

Both Rey and Rey and BB-8 released the same time in HK, so it's not a question when it releases. Both will be around the same time.

I got my two pack today and while I really like the figure and still have a lot of posing and funding to do I find the figures eyes very dead looking. She always seems to be gazing off into the distance and doest look like she's focusing on anything. It's hard to explain and it's the only figure I have that has this issue. Still, it's a great figure and once I have her posed in a more dynamic way that won't be a problem, just thought I would post my initial impression. BB8 is really neat and way heavier than expected. Hopefully everyone gets their figures soon.

I totally agree. But i find that true for all the star wars figures with face sculpts. They all have such a dead and lifeless stare. I wish PERS was still a thing.

I still got her because i knew if it bugged me i could always go full scavenger mode.

That being said everytime i look over at her in my display she grows on me.
