Pointless thread. Wish it was closed because these will not happen. At least the ones you want.

:exactly: This is NEVER EVER going to happen. (At least not until Disney owns X-Men outright, and then all the previous movies will be shelved, and new Disney/MCU versions will come out with completely different actors... and maybe a more accurate assemblage of characters and proper timelines that actually follow the goddamn comics instead of what Bryan Singer has totally concocted out of thin air with no regard whatsoever to the source material). Would it be cool? Sure. But it's not. So....

Well maybe not Hot Toys but there are alternatives so far there's a Sabertooth, Phoenix, Mcavoy Professor, Fass Magneto, 2 different McKellen Magnetos, 2 different Stewart Professors a Cyclops and another young Professor on the way...so there's every chance that there may be decent representations of many of the characters..who knows.

Marvel would do a much better job

Sorry but I don't think that Disney has anything to do with it. Otherwise there would be no xmen last stand wolverine (fox) or origins wolverine (fox) or DOFP wolverine (fox) or deadpool (fox) or they would not have made a proto for prof X. Disney had to sign off on the rights for the entire film first, and they did for all those films. The issue up till now has been a rights deal with fox, not Disney. People sure love to make Disney the devil.

Going forward the new actors have all signed merchandise likeness deals. So that part is not the same issue any more. I would not be surprised to see some figures from the next film this year, from hot toys.

The only one I don't want is L-Law/Mystique... She is so over-saturated in the media right now, and it's painfully obvious that's why mystique suddenly has a pivotal role in the last 3 x-men movies. They didn't even bother to make her human looking hair black. Not to mention she's front and center in a good portion of the advertizing. It's more like J-Law and the X-Men if you ask me... Mystique isn't interesting enough to be a main character, and her version is no exception to me... That is really the only thing that bothers me about the 2nd x-men trilogy. /rant

Seriously though, I'd love to have Apocalypse and his horseman on my shelves.

Believe me, I'm not saying it's all Disney's fault, not in the least. As mentioned Fox really dropped the ball on the likeness rights, which is unusual in this day and age, of studios cashing in on all things merchandising for these types of movies.

How is this any different then the first trilogy and Wolverine? Every movie could have just as easily been called Wolverine I - V. Personally, I don't really care for Jennifer Lawrence, and I'd rather have a Rebecca Romaijn Mystique any day.

It's different because Wolverine is an interesting character.

It was done intentionally as a negotiation tactic. They wanted to develop TV shows like WB and marvel where doing...but they had no rights. The studios only got movie rights not tv...so they knew that since xmen film merchandising has never been overly lucrative and they only got a small percent of that anyway that they would use the likeness compensation as a chip in the negotiations...this way they had something to lose that wasn't any major rights. Those and the twins where given up and they got tv rights.

It sucked for fans and conpanies..hot toys paid full price for the xmen film rights only to later find out they didn't include actor likeness deals.

But going forward this shouldn't be as big a deal.
