Oh man - Words can't tell you how much I'm excited :D

TPM Obi-Wan Looks so great as any other S.H. Figuarts. But honestly, this is the first time I'm really undecided aboug getting a figure of this line... I mean, this is perhaps the most boring look of the character, aside from the fact that The Phantom Menace is the most disappointing Star Wars movie ever made. I know, the trio lighsaber duel was funny, but here I open a new debate.
What do you collect?
A) By the likeness of the character itself. An easy, reasonable and affordable way to collect, because is based exclusively on a personal choose by the appealing.
B) By the relevance of the character on screen and the desire to portrait it. Nearly a completist way, because every Star Wars scene can be "iconic".

All that said, and even though I really don't care about the Jedi order from prequels, I would prefer the ROTS likeness.

I always thought that Episode 1 never should start telling the origin of the characters. I had just started with the outbreak of the Clone Wars. Thus all the characters could have been developed more deeply.
So, I can accept Darth Maul as an iconic character, because he can live out of the margins of the story, so to speak, but I don't care about Padawan versions of Obi-Wan or Anakin. Then, I don't need to build the Duel of the Fates scene.

What do you think?

They already showed off an Episode II/III Obi-Wan prototype, and let's face it: beard+mullet is going to win every time over clean shaven+rat tail with this particular character. If I had (or indeed had any interest in) Darth Maul, I guess they'd make a neat display fighting each other. As it stands, I'll wait for the next version and consider the possibilities for scratchbuilding a 1/12 Episode II Jedi Starfighter in the meantime.

I'm biased because this is my favourite version of obi wan. And probably always will be - unless that obi wan spin off film does happen.

The likeness and how well made this figure is, is really tempting me. But I think I'll save the money for the ANH version instead. The only non OT figure that I have would be Maul.

How does he have a boring likeness? You mean how the figure presents itself: normal and pissed-off face?

I don't know about you, having ShF make a human character (Luke Skywalker) is to me a perfect rendition of his likeness and so goes for the upcoming Bruce Lee and Freddie Mercury figures.

I understand your confusion... My native language is not english.
So, well, I did mean that Padawan Kenobi, in general terms, isn't the best representation of the character in the prequels.
So, I see the Kenobi essence in AOTC and ROTS better than TPM. And, If I had to choose, I would prefer ROTS version as the Obi-Wan "iconic character" look from the prequels. Then, I can pass on the two previous versions. I can imagine the ROTS desing being used in the three prequel movies.

Anyway, I should use "look" instead of "likeness"... sorry.

Buddy, your English is better than most of the Americans I know... lol. If I had to make a post in your language, it would just be some goofy translations from Google and you'd see me for the idiot I am! So my point being, I think you did great.

Wow! Thanks! :clap

There's some more pics of the Obi-wan here partially out of the box. Spare face looks much better than the neutral face.

S.H.Figuarts Obi-Wan Kenobi (Episode I) (Completed) Package1

And a Japanese review
S.H.??????? ??=???????(EpisodeI) ???? : ?????

I really don't like this final result. Easy pass.
Actually, I don't like so much the Jedi Luke. I find some disappointing weirdness on that slim look and face painting. I'm more satisfied with Maul, Kylo, Droid, Clone and FO Stormie.

Inspired by the people here, I decided to mod my Kylo Ren with the black series robe as well, and also repainted the ML CAII Winter Soldier Bucky's head as Ben Solo's head (80% WIP). I know it doesn't look like him but it's the next closest thing for me until Hasbro or someone release an unmasked version of him.
