Still can't decide if I want to get a Detolf or just grab another Billy unit with doors, but if I DID get a Detolf, I'd probably go with one of those guy's lighting kits. Anyone ever heard any bad feedback on 'em? I've only heard good things myself.

Just dunno if I wanna deal with all that glass on a Detolf. XD Billy is so much easier to clean.

I don't think I could sell them as low priced as IKEA does, they have massive economy of scale, but anything I sell will look and function a lot better.

This question may have already been asked, but I have the dioder strips. Can you buy just four more strips and hook them up to the end of the strips to have two per shelf without running a another full cable assembly?

I recently tried Pixel's way of using the Detolf railing as a bus bar and to connect to the LED strips, I scraped off the paint on the railings a little and used a U-lug to complete the connection. So no wires dangling around or to secure. Will upload photos soon.

I need some help! I bought the detolf unit and the multi colored led strips from ikea. The regular white strip were yellowish, not white so I went with multi color dioder.

Annnnyways .. I can't seem to find a good way to wire these because of the brick that you attach all the LED strips too, the cables aren't long enough for the cable to exit the case and attach to the 4 input brick. I plan on putting the strips in the front, thanks.

Are there any solutions or wiring diagram?
Does the regular dioder have longer wires?

So I ended up buying the regular yellowish dioder lights .. it honestly looks fine, not as good as the white on the multi-colored dioder but the trade of is you get a much easier/cleaner cabling.

I'm using the regular Dioders as well and I really like them. I think I want to a another row of them across the 2nd shelves to more evenly light the bottom.
