lol! could someone explain that to me. the doll dot? I've heard it before.
the sculpt is allright. I'd like to try another Portman. Obviously, the expression wouldn't really change much.

Its the white dot in the eye which is supposed to be reflected light on the cornea. It cheapens the sculpt and makes it look dollish (I believe Hot Toys has even stopped using a doll dot on theirpaint apps).

Sorry to get off topic but I know what the doll dot is can someone post a close up of what it really should be? Should there be more white reflection or what?
And to stay on topic, it does look rather...interesting. I got it because SSC SW is the only line that I collect as a completist but I didn't vote for her!

The eyes should just be glossed over. It brings an element of realism to the paint app. and it naturally reflects light that is actually there. You can look at any one of Les' repaints to see what an eye without the doll dot looks like.
It look like a real eye.

I like it. Well kind of... She looks cute. But ain't that a nasty stare she's got! Nathalie will not be amused! 
The suit seams to be made from fabric, which I think is an improvement on the prototype.
Oh, and I support the "STOP THE DOLL DOT" movement. I guess a glossy finish of the eyes could really improve the realism.

Great pics Trev, and even though this figure is not my cup o' tea, I think an admirable job was done with a very odd character choice.
The new cloth definitely looks better than the camel-toe vinyl get-up and I think the paint is pretty good except as has been joked about she's a tad (okay really tweaked-out) surprised looking.
One thing I have noticed is that the female figures tend to get the monkey arm syndrome worse than males these days... her forearm are really long.

I'm sure it's the gloved hands making the forearms look so long. The actual forearm probably ends where the fur trim stops.

I think an animated stylized head sculpt would have fit with the ridiculous costume better.

The gloves is part of the reason the Maul still looks monkey armed to me.

Wow, those forearms are very long. Longer than Darth Maul's! Trevor, I thought your sculpt was pretty good. I'm sure Les or Josh can bring it back to the original likeness.

Same thing happened with Leia Boushh, but its not as noticeable due to the costume design. Kinda the same deal with Maul. Not sure what it is about the gloved hands and them looking odd.

More importantly, stop with the damn posed eyes
What the hell, it ruins a figure with it's limitations.
The proto was fine with normal eyes.
